Milwaukee Sea Gulls
As an affiliate for the Chicago Black Hawks, the Milwaukee Sea Gulls had a one year run in 1950-51 in the USHL. They did not qualify for the playoffs that year, and the USHL would eventually fold in 1951, taking the Sea Gulls with them. An attempt was made to move them to the AHL by the Black Hawks, but that appears to have been derailed by their home arena. It seems that the arena was scheduled to be taken over by the American Bowling Conference on March 2, 1952 and the Sea Gulls would not have a home area for the remainder of the season after that date. It was the death knell for the team, and a move to the AHL was not to be.
