Cornwall Aces
The Cornwall Aces were a short-lived minor league franchise based out of Ed Lumley Arena in Cornwall, Ontario. Originally the Halifax Citadels, they moved to Cornwall for the 1993-94 season where they would only spend three seasons before folding.
Despite their short lifespan, the Aces actually were successful on the ice as they won two division titles in their three seasons of play. They also made it to the playoffs all three seasons, advancing to the third round twice. The team had a number of big leaguers come through their ranks, most notably Garth Snow,Jocelyn Thibault, and Stephane Yelle. They would also be coached by Bob Hartley and Jacques Martin.Â
