Houston Apollos
The Houston Apollos were a founding member of the CHL, although as the Omaha Knights. Following the 1964-65 season they moved to Houston to join the space race as the Apollos. The team played four years in Houston not finding much success between missing the playoffs and first round exits. They had red and blue colors, the same as their pro affiliate. After the 1968-69 season their pro affiliate moved them north of the border to Montreal to become the Voyageurs of the AHL. Another version of the Apollos were briefly restarted in the late 1970s, from 1979-81 after Houston's WHA team went under. This team would cut out the red and have just shades of blue and white as their colors. They wouldn't pan out, folding 33 games into their second season.
