Buffalo Norsemen™
Vintage Ice Hockey's mission is to celebrate defunct hockey teams that don't take the ice anymore, many of which still have a special place in people's hearts and memories. To do that, we're creating apparel for these teams that, in many cases, simply doesn't exist anywhere else.
There's a long history of hockey in Buffalo that dates back to the 1920s, and the Norsemen were one quick year in that history. The team played in the old NAHL for the 1975-76 season at the Tonawanda Sports Center in North Tonawanda, NY. They didn't actually play in Buffalo, despite the name! The team also had a very unique logo of a miniature looking viking. The Norsemen would go 30-44 and lose in the first round of the playoffs in their single season.
