Richmond Wildcats
We don't know a whole lot about the Richmond Wildcats. They were a pretty obscure team in a league that is actually well remembered and was widely know, the Southern Hockey League (SHL). The Wildcats played in the league for the 1976-77 season at the Richmond Coliseum and were coached by former big leaguer Forbes Kennedy. They also had Bill Goldthorpe on their roster. Unfortunately, the Wildcats only made it through 36 games before both the team and the league folded in January 1977.
