New York Golden Blades
The New York Golden Blades picked up where the Raiders left off, playing second fiddle hockey team in the middle of Manhattan, NY. They were sold and rebranded as the Golden Blades for the 1973-74 season. True to their name, they took the ice with white skates and golden blades maybe one of the only teams to incorporate such a color scheme into their skates. However, they had all the same problems as the Raiders and would fold and the WHA would assume control midway through the season. The team would relocate to New Jersey and become the Jersey Knights in the middle of the season.
