Erik Bohen is the former Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 142 from April through December 2018.[1]

In September 2018, Bohen described himself, saying, "I have a lot of conservative values. I'm more of a moderate conservative Democrat."[2] Bohen did not receive the Erie County Democratic Committee's endorsement in the special and regular elections, but he did receive the Erie County Republican Committee endorsement.[3]

Special election

NY Assembly District 142

A special election for the position of New York State Assembly District 142 was held on April 24, 2018.

The seat was left vacant after the resignation of Michael Kearns (D). Kearns resigned on December 4, 2017, after he was elected as Erie County clerk.[4]

Erik Bohen (R) defeated Patrick Burke (D) in the special election. Unofficial results showed Bohen winning with 52.3 percent of the vote.[5] Bohen, a Democrat, ran on the Republican and Conservative lines.[1]
