Noteworthy events
2020 vote total distribution
In the 2020 general election, Simcha Eichenstein ran uncontested for re-election under the Democratic Party and Conservative Party ballot lines. Although Eichenstein caucuses with the Democratic Party in the New York State Assembly, he received a majority of his 25,981 votes—13,411—on the Conservative Party's ballot line. This was the first time since 1970 that the Conservative Party ballot line received the largest vote share in an election.[1]
