Statewide ballot measures in New York can be:
- Legislatively-referred constitutional amendments voted onto the ballot by the New York State Legislature.
- Automatic ballot referrals, such as when a constitutional convention question goes on the ballot every 20 years from 1957 on (or at the discretion of the state legislature).
