  • Canucks' Elias Pettersson: One of each in defeat

Pettersson scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in 17:17 of ice time Wednesday in a 5-4 loss to the Penguins.

Pettersson had a four-game point streak snapped against Boston on Tuesday, but his goal and assist in the final frame Wednesday marked his third multi-point effort in his last four games. The Swedish center has excelled in November by producing 13 points while getting on the scoresheet in eight of 12 contests. After a sluggish start to the 2024-25 campaign in October, the 26-year-old appears to have turned a corner on offense, and he'll be heavily relied upon while the Canucks are without J.T. Miller (personal). Pettersson ranks third on Vancouver in scoring with seven goals and 10 assists through 21 games.

  • Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Rough outing Wednesday

Silovs conceded five goals on 23 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Penguins.

Silovs was blitzed for four goals in the opening frame Wednesday, and the Canucks ultimately couldn't pull off the comeback. The Latvian netminder has allowed nine goals combined in back-to-back losses, and he could be sent to AHL Abbotsford in the near future as Thatcher Demko (knee) is closing in on a return to game action. Silovs has a 1-4-1 record, .847 save percentage and 4.11 GAA across seven appearances.

  • Canucks' Arturs Silovs: In goal Wednesday

Silovs will start on the road versus the Penguins on Wednesday, Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet reports.

Silovs will start the second half of a back-to-back after Kevin Lankinen made a 32-save performance in a shutout win Tuesday in Boston. The 23-year-old Silovs has allowed at least three goals in four of his five starts this season, so he'll be a risky fantasy play even with a fairly good matchup. The Penguins have averaged 2.52 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Canucks' Pius Suter: Contributes assist in win

Suter logged an assist in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Bruins.

Suter has three helpers over his last five contests while maintaining a top-six role. The 28-year-old set up Conor Garland's empty-net tally Tuesday. Suter is up to 10 points, 33 shots on net, 13 hits and a plus-1 rating over 19 outings overall. He's more of a secondary scorer, but he's done enough of that lately to be of interest in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Helps out on power play

Hughes notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Bruins.

Hughes helped out on Jake DeBrusk's second-period tally. The 25-year-old Hughes has gotten on the scoresheet in nine of 11 games in November, and one of the two exceptions was Saturday, when he was ejected for boarding in the first period against the Senators. That was a rare lapse for the defenseman, who makes much more of an impact on offense than he does with the body. He's at four goals, 16 helpers, eight power-play points, 68 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 20 appearances.

  • Canucks' Jake DeBrusk: Burns former team with game-winner

DeBrusk scored a power-play goal on three shots in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Bruins.

DeBrusk's goal put the Canucks ahead 1-0 at 5:53 of the second period, and it stood as the game-winner against his former team. The winger has had an excellent November, earning six goals and four assists over 11 appearances. He's up to six goals, 14 points, 39 shots, 35 hits and a plus-4 rating through 20 contests. Fantasy managers that weathered the storm in late October are now benefiting from DeBrusk's uptick in production, which has also come with more steady top-six usage.

  • Canucks' Conor Garland: Two points in win

Garland scored an empty-net goal on three shots and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Bruins.

Garland extended his point streak to five games (two goals, four assists) with his first multi-point effort since Nov. 2. The Massachusetts native didn't have a point in two contests versus his hometown team last season. In 2024-25, he's impressed in a top-six role with 17 points (six on the power play), 43 shots on net, 11 hits, 11 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 20 appearances.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Posts 32-save shutout

Lankinen stopped all 32 shots he faced in a 2-0 win over the Bruins on Tuesday.

Lankinen earned his second shutout this season, which was also the fifth of his career. This was a strong performance for the 29-year-old, as the Bruins outshot the Canucks 32-15 for the game. Lankinen is the seventh goalie to reach the 10-win mark this season, doing so in 15 games at a 10-3-2 record with a 2.56 GAA and a .909 save percentage. Thatcher Demko (knee) is making progress in his recovery, but Lankinen has played well enough as the No. 1 so far that it may benefit the Canucks to deploy those two goalies in a tandem once Demko comes off injured reserve. It'll likely be Arturs Silovs starting in goal Wednesday versus the Penguins.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Guarding goal against Boston

Lankinen will patrol the blue paint in Tuesday's road matchup with the Bruins, Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet relays.

Lankinen rebounded in a 4-3 win over Ottawa on Saturday after allowing eight combined goals in back-to-back losses. The Finnish netminder is sporting a 9-3-2 record, .901 save percentage and 2.74 GAA through 14 appearances. The 29-year-old will face a Bruins club that ranks 32nd in the NHL with 2.32 goals per game through 22 contests.

  • Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Progressing in recovery

Demko (knee) is making strides in his recovery and could be a game-time decision sooner rather than later, Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet reports Tuesday.

Demko won't be an option versus Boston on Tuesday and likely won't play in the second half of the Canucks' back-to-back against Pittsburgh on Wednesday either. Still, it's a positive update from general manager Patrik Allvin regarding the backstop's availability. Once given the all-clear, the 28-year-old San Diego native should reclaim his spot as the No. 1 option in Vancouver, relegating Kevin Lankinen to the backup role.

  • Canucks' Brock Boeser: Back in action Tuesday

Boeser (upper body), as expected, will be in the lineup versus Boston on Tuesday, Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet reports.

Boeser returns following a seven-game stint on the shelf due to his upper-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the 27-year-old winger was off to a strong start to the 2024-25 campaign with six goals and five helpers in 12 outings, including four power-play points. Boeser is slated to fill a third-line role Tuesday but could move back into the top six once he gets his legs back under him.

  • Canucks' Brock Boeser: In contention Tuesday

Boeser (upper body) might be available to face Boston on Tuesday after head coach Rick Tocchet told reporters, "He looked good today. I'll talk to him and see if he's ready to go tomorrow (Tuesday). He hasn't had any (symptoms) the last bunch of days and we sped it up (pace) a little bit today," per Ben Kuzma of Postmedia.

Boeser looks poised to return following a seven-game absence due to his upper-body issue. In his 12 outings this year, the 27-year-old winger has racked up six goals and five assists, including four power-play points. Based on Monday's practice session, Boeser figures to return in a third-line role in addition to seeing power-play time.

  • Canucks' Tyler Myers: Draws helper in win

Myers notched an assist and blocked three shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Senators.

Myers logged 21:48 of ice time Saturday, his first time over 20 minutes in five games. He had to help cover for Quinn Hughes, who was ejected after a boarding major and game misconduct in the first period. Myers has picked up the pace with three points over his last five games, giving him one goal, four assists, 19 shots on net, 18 hits, 33 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 19 appearances this season. Myers should get back to a slightly smaller workload Tuesday versus the Bruins assuming Hughes avoids supplemental discipline.

  • Canucks' Teddy Blueger: Scores in Saturday's win

Blueger scored a goal, added two hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Senators.

Blueger scored for the second time in four games, giving the Canucks a 2-1 lead in the second period. The 30-year-old center has done well in a third-line role this season and is likely to see slightly increased responsibilities while J.T. Miller (personal) is away from the team. Blueger is up to four goals, 10 points, 21 shots on net, 30 hits and a plus-1 rating over 19 appearances.

  • Canucks' Max Sasson: Point in NHL debut

Sasson picked up an assist in his NHL debut Saturday, a 4-3 win over the Senators.

He lured the defense toward him, pulled up and found Teddy Blueger trailing. Sasson played 7:49 and finished plus-1. And he earned the requisite shaving cream bomb from teammates in a TV interview after the game. Sasson is a bottom-six guy with a motor that never quits. His fantasy game is limited, but his enthusiasm is great to watch.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Ejected for boarding

Hughes received a game misconduct and five-minute major for boarding in the first period of Saturday's 4-3 win over Ottawa.

He drilled Josh Norris into the boards from behind. It wasn't a hard hit, but Norris was cut and left the game temporarily. The officials had no option but to issue a major on the play -- rule 41.5 issues an automatic game misconduct if "an injury to the face or head of the opponent" occurs on a boarding penalty. Hughes and Norris are close friends who played for the USNTDP and the University of Michigan. Still, a suspension is unlikely.
