Green (neck) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Green suffered a neck injury during the 49ers' 38-10 loss to the Packers this past Sunday, finishing with five tackles (four solo) and one pass defense across 43 defensive snaps. The rookie second-rounder will have two more chances this week to increase his practice participation ahead of Sunday night's game against Buffalo.

49ers' Charvarius Ward: Returns to practice Wednesday
Ward (personal) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Ward sat out the past four games while mourning the loss of his one-year-old daughter. He returned to a full practice Wednesday, and it appears the seventh-year corner should be available for Sunday's game against the Bills.

49ers' Jacob Cowing: Logs full practice Wednesday
Cowing (concussion) was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday's injury report, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Cowing suffered a concussion during the 49ers' Week 11 loss to the Seahawks, and he was unable to pass the league's five-step protocols in time for Week 12 against the Packers. His ability to practice in full Wednesday is a sign that he's progressing through the protocols, though he'll need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to play against the Bills on Sunday.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Limited, but barely throws Wednesday
Purdy (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Inman relays that Purdy attempted just two passes during the portion of practice that was open to the media, so the quarterback's limited listing may not have constituted much in the way of reps. More specifically, Purdy was seen throwing a short toss to Kyle Juszczyk during running back drills and another such throw to a member of the equipment staff, which was similar to last Wednesday, when he also went down as a limited participant on the official injury report. It's unclear how much on-field work San Francisco will log the rest of the week around the Thanksgiving holiday, but it's likely that Friday's practice will be key for Purdy's chances to miss just one game as a result of right shoulder soreness. The 49ers will travel to Buffalo for a Sunday night game this week.

49ers' Fred Warner: Playing through injury
Warner said Wednesday that he fractured a bone in his ankle in the 49ers' Week 4 win over the Patriots and has been playing through the injury ever since, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Despite Warner's acknowledgement of the fractured ankle, the All-Pro linebacker has been absent from the 49ers' injury report since Week 6. He's appeared in all 11 of San Francisco's games this season, recording 84 total tackles, six passes defensed, two interceptions and four forced fumbles. Warner is expected to continue playing through injury when the 49ers travel to Buffalo in Week 13.

49ers' Dre Greenlaw: Designated to return
Greenlaw (Achilles) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday.
The 27-year-old linebacker has yet to play this season after tearing his Achilles in San Francisco's Super Bowl LVIII loss to the Chiefs. However, he'll return to practice in a limited fashion Wednesday, as coach Kyle Shanahan told Lindsey Pallares of the team's official site, and he now will have 21 days to be activated to the active roster or else remain on IR. Greenlaw has a chance to play in the Week 13 matchup against the Bills if he's activated before Sunday.

49ers' Deommodore Lenoir: Not practicing Wednesday
Lenoir (knee) will not practice Wednesday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Lenoir knocked knees with another player last Sunday against the Packers and underwent an MRI on the knee Monday. The results of that MRI aren't yet known, but Lenoir's starting his practice week with a DNP. Isaac Yiadom and Rock Ya-Sin are the Niners' lone healthy cornerbacks at the moment.

Bosa missed last Sunday's loss to the Packers after he was injured in the Week 11 loss to the Seahawks. Sam Okuayinonu, Leonard Floyd and Yetur Gross-Matos paced the 49ers in pass-rushing snaps off the edge versus Green Bay and would likely do so again if Bosa is unable to play Sunday in Buffalo.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Purdy (shoulder) will be a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Purdy emerged from Week 11 with a sore right shoulder, and he eventually was ruled out for this past Sunday's loss to Green Bay, seemingly out of an abundance of caution. Shanahan told Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com that Purdy resumed throwing Monday, and the quarterback now seems to be on a path to returning to action Sunday at Buffalo. How Purdy is listed on practice reports Thursday and Friday likely will be key for his odds to play this weekend.
