Celtics' Derrick White: Iffy for Sunday
White (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
White left Friday's win over the Bulls midway through the third quarter and didn't return, although the questionable tag ahead of Sunday's matchup suggests the shooting guard avoided a serious injury. If White can't go Sunday, then Payton Pritchard would be an obvious candidate to see more minutes. That said, the Celtics could be extremely depleted in the backcourt since Jrue Holiday (groin) is also questionable.

Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Uncertain to play Sunday
Porzingis is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers due to knee injury management, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Porzingis recorded 21 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds and one assist over 25 minutes during Friday's 138-129 victory over the Bulls, but it wouldn't be strange to see him get a day off. Sunday's contest will be the first leg of a back-to-back set, so the Celtics could choose to rest the big man either Sunday or Monday against the Heat. Porzingis has accounted for 37 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 48 minutes in his first two games of the season.

Celtics' Al Horford: Listed as questionable
Horford is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers due to a left toe sprain, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Horford came off the bench in the 138-129 win over the Bulls, though he only racked up two points, a rebound and three assists across 25 minutes. His questionable tag could be concerning for the Celtics, as Kristaps Porzingis (foot) is also questionable. If both are out, though, then Neemias Queta and Luke Kornet would be candidates to see more time in the frontcourt.

Celtics' Jrue Holiday: Questionable for Sunday
Holiday is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers due to right adductor tightness, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
The Celtics will have several players questionable for this marquee matchup Sunday, and the potential absence of Holiday would be a great deal considering that Derrick White (foot) is questionable as well. Payton Pritchard would probably enter the starting lineup if Holiday is unable to suit up Sunday.

Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Comes close to double-double
Porzingis closed with 21 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds and one assist over 25 minutes during Friday's 138-129 victory over the Bulls.
Porzingis played 25 minutes in his second game of the season but looked much better than in his debut. The star big man ended just two boards shy of a double-double, and he's likely to remain in a starting role, though he's also likely to get an occasional day off, allowing Al Horford to move into the starting unit. Porzingis has accounted for 37 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 48 minutes in his first two games of the season.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Shines off bench Friday
Pritchard notched 29 points (10-16 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 29 minutes during Friday's 138-129 win over the Bulls.
Pritchard has been one of the best bench performers this season, and this 29-point outing represented a new season-high mark for him. Pritchard has scored at least 20 points in six different games in 2024-25 and continues to have a career-best season while holding a prominent role in the Celtics' second unit.

Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Explodes for 35-point effort
Tatum produced 35 points (12-18 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 7-10 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Friday's 138-129 victory over the Bulls.
Tatum had one of his most efficient performances of the season, leading the Celtics to a high-scoring win while recording his fifth outing with at least 35 points. Tatum has scored at least 30 points in five of his last 10 contests, and he remains the absolute go-to option on offense in a stacked Celtics team. The star forward is averaging 27.4 points, 9.9 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game over his last 10 contests.

Celtics' Derrick White: Leaves early with foot injury
White did not return to Friday's 138-129 win over the Bulls due to a sore right foot and finished with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-8 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 24 minutes, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
White checked out of Friday's game at the 8:08 mark in the third quarter due to the injury. If White is unable to play against the Cavaliers on Sunday, Al Horford, Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard -- who finished with a season-high 29 points off the bench -- would be candidates to take his spot in the Celtics' starting five.

Celtics' Derrick White: Doubtful to return Friday
White is doubtful to return to Friday's game against the Bulls due to a sore right foot.
White headed to the locker room early in the third quarter of Friday's game due to a right foot injury. Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser will see an uptick in playing time for the rest of Friday's game assuming White does not return.

Celtics' Al Horford: Retreating to bench role
Horford is not in the Celtics' starting lineup for Friday's game against the Bulls, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Horford will come off the bench Friday for the first time this season while Kristaps Porzingis gets the start at center. It's the first time Horford and Porzingis will be available to play together this season, and the former should continue to serve as the Celtics' "sixth starter" when the latter is sidelined. Through 14 regular-season contests, Horford is averaging 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists over 27.9 minutes per game.

Celtics' Luke Kornet: Good to go Friday
Kornet (hamstring) is available for Friday's game against the Bulls, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Kornet will suit up after a two-game absence due to right hamstring tightness. The big man has missed three of the club's last four games, and in his last five appearances he has averaged 3.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists across 15.6 minutes per game.

Celtics' Al Horford: No longer on injury report
Horford (illness) is not listed on the injury report and will be available for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Horford missed the win over the Clippers on Monday due to an illness, but the veteran big man had enough time to recover. He'll be available for Friday's contest, though it's unclear if he or Kristaps Porzingis will get the start at center.

Celtics' Luke Kornet: Probable for Friday
Kornet (hamstring) is probable for Friday's game against the Bulls, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Kornet is dealing with right hamstring tightness, but the probable tag suggests the big man could be ready to return Friday. However, Al Horford (illness) is also expected back and Kristaps Porzingis is also available, so Kornet isn't expected to be a major factor in the rotation in the short term.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Records 20 points
Pritchard logged 20 points (7-13 FG, 6-10 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 126-94 win over the Clippers.
This was Pritchard's fifth game of the season with at least 20 points. He's been a key part of Boston's second-unit offense, and he's had a terrific November with averages of 14.3 points, 3.1 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 3.1 three-pointers in 27.2 minutes across 13 appearances.

Celtics' Jrue Holiday: Held to five points
Holiday ended with five points (2-10 FG, 1-8 3Pt), four rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes during Monday's 126-94 victory over the Clippers.
Holiday was held to single-digit points for the second game in a row, and he's been ice-cold from the perimeter. In his last two outings, he's shooting a combined 2-of-14 from beyond the arc. His usage rate has been very low this season, and now he'll have to compete for touches with a healthy Kristaps Porzingis as well.

Celtics' Neemias Queta: Turns heads with strong play
Queta posted 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, four blocks and two steals over 25 minutes during Monday's 126-94 victory over the Clippers.
The Celtics were missing Al Horford (illness) and Luke Kornet (hamstring) for the second leg of this back-to-back set, while Kristaps Porzingis returned to action with 23 minutes. Queta absorbed the available center minutes and made the most of them, recording a season-high four blocks in the process. He's been excellent in limited minutes for the Celtics this season, but it's hard to see a path to consistent value now that the team is getting healthier up front.
