Bills' DeWayne Carter: Won't return from IR in Week 13
Carter (wrist) was downgraded to out for Sunday's matchup versus the 49ers.
Carter underwent wrist surgery in late October and was consequently placed on IR. He was designated to return Wednesday and logged a trio of full practices this week, but the rookie defensive tackle isn't quite ready to return to action. Carter's next chance to suit up will be Sunday, Dec. 8 against the Rams.

Bills' Matt Milano: Activated off IR
The Bills activated Milano (biceps) off injured reserve Saturday, and he remains questionable for Sunday's Week 13 game against San Francisco.
Milano tore his biceps in training camp and had been on injured reserve all season until Saturday. Though he's still deemed questionable for Sunday, the veteran linebacker has a good chance of suiting up after logging a trio of full practices this week. Milano's return could lead to less defensive snaps for Dorian Williams.

Bills' Mike White: Elevated for Week 13
The Bills elevated White from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers.
White has been on Buffalo's practice squad since late August and hasn't gotten into a game this season. The veteran quarterback isn't likely to play in Sunday's contest, as both Josh Allen and Mitchell Trubisky are healthy and ahead of him on the depth chart. Per Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, White's elevation may be a move to reward him for his work on the practice squad throughout the campaign.

Bills' Zach Davidson: Gets Week 13 elevation
Davidson was elevated from the Bills' practice squad to their active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's matchup versus San Francisco.
Davidson has one previously elevation this season, as he played 11 offensive snaps against Kansas City in Week 11 and caught his only target for five yards. To date, that is the only NFL action of his career. Davidson's elevation for Week 13 corresponds with Buffalo's top tight end, Dalton Kincaid, being ruled out due to a knee injury.

Bills' Tylan Grable: Won't return for Week 13
Grable (abdomen) was a full participant in Friday's practice but has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Grable was placed on injured reserve in late September after suffering a core injury during the Bills' Week 3 win over the Jaguars. He was designated to return from IR on Wednesday, and while he was able to practice in full all week, he will not be activated off IR ahead of Sunday's game. Barring a setback, Grable is on track to return for Week 14 against the Rams on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Bills' DeWayne Carter: Questionable for Week 13
Carter (wrist) is questionable to play against the 49ers on Sunday, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
Carter was placed on injured reserve Oct. 25 due to a wrist injury. He has been sidelined for the Bills' last four regular-season games, and he has a good chance at being activated before the 4:00 p.m. ET deadline Saturday after logging full practices all week. If he does return, Carter will serve in a rotational role at defensive tackle Sunday behind DaQuan Jones and Ed Oliver.

Bills' Dawson Knox: Remains team's TE1 with Kincaid out
Knox is in line to maintain a larger role Sunday against the 49ers, as Dalton Kincaid (knee) has been ruled out.
Knox ascended to the top of the tight end depth chart in Kincaid's absence against the Chiefs in Week 11 and proceeded to turn six targets into four catches for 40 yards. Buffalo's Week 12 bye didn't provide Kincaid sufficient time to recover, so Knox should maintain a sizable role against a 49ers defense that has limited tight ends to 384 receiving yards this season -- second-fewest in the NFL.

Bills' Matt Milano: Could see first action of season
Milano (biceps) is questionable for Sunday night's game against the 49ers, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
Milano is one of the NFL's better all-around linebackers but also one of the more injury-prone ones. He's yet to play in a game this season after seeing action in just five regular-season contests in 2023. While he may not see a full workload right away even if he does return Sunday night, the 9-2 Bills have aspirations toward a deep playoff run, and having the heartbeat of their defense back out there would certainly help that aim.
