Description
行な方向をY軸、前記X軸および前記Y軸と垂直に交わる軸をZ軸とし、前記第2繊維の前記X軸方向のベクトル成分を成分x、前記Y軸方向のベクトル成分を成分yとするとき、前記第2不織布が、前記成分xと前記成分yとがx≧yを満たす前記第2繊維を、50質量%以上、70質量%以下含み、かつ、前記成分xと前記成分yとがx<y/2を満たす前記第2繊維を、5質量%以上、30質量%以下含んでおり、前記第2不織布をZ軸方向から見たとき、x<y/2を満たす前記第2繊維の少なくとも一部が、x≧yを満たす前記第2繊維に重なっている、積層不織布に関する。
すなわち、本発明に係る積層不織布は、第1繊維を含む第1不織布と、第1不織布に積層される第2繊維を含む第2不織布と、を備え、第1繊維の平均繊維径D1および第2繊維の平均繊維径D2は、D1>D2の関係を満たしている。積層不織布は、その端部に切断痕を有している。切断痕の方向をX軸、X軸と垂直に交わり、かつ、積層不織布の主面
に平行な方向をY軸、X軸およびY軸と垂直に交わる軸をZ軸とし、第2繊維のX軸方向のベクトル成分を成分x、Y軸方向のベクトル成分を成分yとするとき、第2不織布は、成分xと成分yとがx≧yを満たす第2繊維を、50質量%以上、70質量%以下含み、かつ、成分xと成分yとがx<y/2を満たす第2繊維を、5質量%以上、30質量%以下含んでいる。さらに、第2不織布をZ軸方向から見たとき、x<y/2を満たす第2繊維の少なくとも一部は、x≧yを満たす第2繊維に重なっている。
このようにして得られる積層不織布10の第2不織布2の主面2A側に、第3不織布を積層しても良い。第3不織布は、種々の外部負荷から第2不織布2を保護する保護材として機能する。集塵効率の観点から、第3不織布には帯電処理が施されていることが好ましい。第3不織布は、例えば、図示しない接着剤散布装置から散布される接着剤を介して、主面2Aに接着される。
本発明に係る空気清浄機100は、図4に例示されるように、気体の吸い込み部101と、気体の吐き出し部102と、これらの間に配置される積層不織布10と、を備える。積層不織布10は、蛇腹状にプリーツ加工されて配置されても良い。積層不織布10は、大気中のダストを捕捉する濾材である。積層不織布10を備える空気清浄機は、長期間にわたって、圧力損失が小さく抑えられる。
以下、本発明の実施例を具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例に限定されるものではない。
第1不織布としてセルロースを主体とする基材(厚みT1:300μm、D1:15μm、単位面積当たりの質量:42g/m2、空隙率P1:61%)を使用した。図3に示すような製造システムを用いて、搬送される第1不織布に第2繊維を堆積させて第2不織布を形成し、積層不織布を作製した。このとき、放出体を連続的に搬送方向とは垂直な方向に揺動させるとともに、生成空間において、ガス流を第1不織布の上流側から第2繊維に衝突させた。第2繊維の原料液としては、PESを20質量%含むDMAc溶液を用いた。D2は、273nmであり、第1不織布上には、第2繊維が0.69g/m2堆積していた。ついで、得られた積層不織布を、回転式カッターを備えるスリッター機により、長手方向(搬送方向)に切断した。切断面および第2不織布の表面を光学顕微鏡写真で確認したところ、第2不織布の表面の剥離、および、切断面における第2不織布の剥離のいずれも見られなかった。各光学顕微鏡写真(倍率10倍)を図5Aおよび図5Bに示す。
第2不織布の形成の際に、放出体を揺動させなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、積層不織布を得た。各第2繊維の割合を表1に示す。得られた積層不織布の切断面および第2不織布の表面を光学顕微鏡で確認したところ、第2不織布の表面において、浮き上がり(剥離)が見られた。第2不織布の表面の光学顕微鏡写真を図6Aに示す。図中、楕円で示した部分が、第2不織布の剥離部分である。なお、切断面において、第2不織布の剥離は確認されなかった。
第2不織布の形成の際に、ガス流を第1不織布の搬送方向とは垂直な方向から第2繊維に衝突させたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、積層不織布を得た。各第2繊維の割合を表1に示す。得られた積層不織布の切断面および第2不織布の表面を光学顕微鏡で確認したところ、切断面に第2不織布の剥離が見られた。切断面の光学顕微鏡写真を図6Bに示す。図中、楕円で示した部分が、第2不織布の剥離部分である。なお、第2不織布の表面において、第2不織布の浮き上がり(剥離)は確認されなかった。

- 第1繊維を含む第1不織布と、
前記第1不織布に積層される第2繊維を含む第2不織布と、を備える積層不織布であって、
前記第2繊維の平均繊維径D2が、3μm以下であり、
前記第1繊維の平均繊維径D1および前記平均繊維径D2が、D1>D2の関係を満たし、
前記積層不織布が、その端部に切断痕を有しており、
前記切断痕の方向をX軸、前記X軸と垂直に交わり、かつ、前記積層不織布の主面に平
行な方向をY軸、前記X軸および前記Y軸と垂直に交わる軸をZ軸とし、前記第2繊維の前記X軸方向のベクトル成分を成分x、前記Y軸方向のベクトル成分を成分yとするとき、
前記第2不織布が、
前記成分xと前記成分yとがx≧yを満たす前記第2繊維を、50質量%以上、70質量%以下含み、かつ、
前記成分xと前記成分yとがx<y/2を満たす前記第2繊維を、5質量%以上、30質量%以下含んでおり、
