Abstract
Description
本願は、すべての趣旨についてこの全体が参照として本明細書に組み込まれる米国仮特許出願第61/906,380号(2013年11月19日出願)の優先権を主張する。
可視領域に調整でき;InAsを含む半導体ナノ結晶は、赤外領域に調整できる。発光できる量子ドット集団の狭いサイズ分布は、狭いスペクトル範囲の光の発光をもたらすことができる。この集団は単分散性であることができ、こうした量子ドットの直径において、好ましくは15%rms(二乗平均平方根)未満、より好ましくは10%未満、最も好ましくは5%未満の偏差を示す。可視領域で発光するこうした量子ドットに関して、約75nm以下、好ましくは約60nm以下、より好ましくは約40nm以下、最も好ましくは約30nm以下の半値全幅(FWHM)が観察できる。IR発光量子ドットは、150nm以下、または100nm以下のFWHMを有することができる。発光エネルギーの観点で表される場合、発光は0.05eV以下、または0.03eV以下のFWHMを有することができる。発光の幅は、発光量子ドット直径の分散性が低下するにつれて低下する。

- 1つ以上の発光材料の1つ以上の粒子を囲むガラスを含む表面を含むルミネッセンス粒子。
- ルミネッセンス粒子が、ガラスに分配された1つ以上の発光材料の1つ以上の粒子を含む、請求項1に記載のルミネッセンス粒子。
- ガラスがビトリファイド金属酸化物を含む、請求項1に記載のルミネッセンス材料。
- ガラスがビトリファイドヒュームド金属酸化物を含む、請求項1に記載のルミネッセンス材料。
- ガラスが熱分解により形成される、請求項3または4に記載のルミネッセンス材料。
- 1つ以上の発光ナノ材料の1つ以上の粒子を囲むガラスを含む表面を含むルミネッセンス粒子。
- ルミネッセンス粒子が、ガラスに分配された1つ以上の発光ナノ材料の1つ以上の粒子を含む、請求項6に記載のルミネッセンス粒子。
- 発光ナノ材料の少なくとも1つが量子ドットを含む、請求項6または7に記載のルミネッセンス粒子。
- 発光ナノ材料の少なくとも1つがナノ蛍光体を含む、請求項6または7に記載のルミネッセンス粒子。

- 1つ以上の発光材料の1つ以上の粒子を囲むガラスを含む表面を含むルミネッセンス粒子を製造するための方法であって、前記方法が、ガスストリーム中に、1つ以上の発光材料の1つ以上の少なくとも一部の外側表面の少なくとも一部にビトリファイドガラスを形成するための前駆体を含む前記1つ以上の発光材料の1つ以上の粒子を懸濁させる工程およびガスストリーム中に懸濁した1つ以上の発光材料の1つ以上の少なくとも一部の外側表面の少なくとも一部上の前記前駆体を熱分解し、前記前駆体をビトリファイドガラスに転化して、前記ルミネッセンス粒子を形成する工程を含む方法。
- 熱分解工程が、熱分解炉において少なくとも部分的に行われる、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 熱分解工程が火炎熱分解を含む、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 前駆体がビトリファイド可能な金属酸化物を含む、請求項15に記載の方法。

- 1つ以上の発光ナノ材料の1つ以上の粒子を囲むガラスを含む表面を含むルミネッセンス粒子を製造するための方法であって、前記方法が、ガスストリーム中に、1つ以上の発光ナノ材料の1つ以上の少なくとも一部の外側表面の少なくとも一部にビトリファイドガラスを形成するための前駆体を含む前記1つ以上の発光ナノ材料の1つ以上の粒子を懸濁させる工程およびガスストリーム中に懸濁した1つ以上の発光ナノ材料の1つ以上の少なくとも一部の外側表面の少なくとも一部上の前記前駆体を熱分解し、前記前駆体をビトリファイドガラスに転化して、前記ルミネッセンス粒子を形成する工程を含む方法。
- 熱分解工程が、熱分解炉において少なくとも部分的に行われる、請求項20に記載の方法。
