  • the invention is particularly intended for packaging and to the application of cosmetic or care products such as foundations liquids, nail polish, lipsticks, creams, oils, hair treatments, etc. Applications in other fields can also be considered, for example in the field of adhesives, correctors of writing, household stain removers, polishes, etc ...

Loading the product with it requires turn and press its application surface several times on the support to treat in order to "pump” and load it with product before proceeding to its application, the pressure exerted on the applicator, causing the opening of a valve which, in the closed position, isolates the applicator from the product.
  • these applicators usually containing volatile formulas, dry out often quickly during the storage period causing formation a crust on the applicator.
  • the applicator pad is isolated from the product by means of a valve, which further accelerates the drying of the applicator, sometimes rendering it unusable after a long period during which it has not been used or requiring cleaning operations prior to any new use.
  • Patent application EP-A-0 872 193 in the name of the applicant, describes a set for applying a liquid product comprising a reservoir for product. It has a neck with a free edge defining an opening, means removable for sealingly sealing said opening being provided.
  • the application surface is axially movable between a first position in which the application surface emerges outside the neck through said opening, for the application of the product, and a second position in which said application surface is contained at inside the tank. Moving from the first position to the second position of the application surface is effected by an elastic push to against a sealing means, a displacement of the application surface from the second position to the first being effected by removal of said sealing means.

  • the chamber can be filled with product by gravity, turning the upside down device, the moving part being held in this position by a spring.
  • the user must hold the device upside down and apply the applicator to the area to be waxed, so as to push the part mobile in the second position so that the product reaches the applicator.

  • the assembly can be configured so that it is stored upside down without any product leakage.
  • the product from the tank flows in the cavity, for example by shaking the packaging assembly and of application, then it flows into the application member, permeable to the product, to the application surface.
  • the thickness between the cavity and the surface measured along the X axis being less than the wall thickness side of the applicator member measured perpendicular to the X axis, the product reaches the application surface before reaching the rest of the surface end of the nozzle.

  • the volume of the cavity increases so that product from the tank is drawn into the cavity. We can thus fill the cavity each time the application surface is applied to the area to be treat. In addition, we can thus measure the amount of product that is applied, coming from the cavity, by playing on the pressure exerted on the surface application.
  • the cavity is configured so as to maintain by capillarity of the product from the reservoir.
  • the area of the largest cross section of the cavity can be less than that of the application surface.

  • the cavity is then removed.
  • the product can no longer leave the chimney so that the risk of leakage is almost nonexistent in the closed position of the closing member.
  • the compressible part of the applicator member is advantageously at least partially compressed when the closure member is in the closed position. So after shaking the application set to bring product into the cavity, the user opens the entire application which allows the applicator to relax and the product present in the cavity to be drawn into said product permeable application member, especially up to the application surface. Too much pressure, which could cause excess product to exit, possibly causing soiling, is further compensated by the presence of the groove 50. Indeed, the area of the applicator member of smallest cross section located at the height of the groove 50 then limits the pressure exerted, by compressing at its tower.
  • the applicator member On the treated support, especially on the skin, is accompanied by aspiration of the product contained in the cavity 30 in the cells of the application organ, an increase of the volume of the cavity 30 and of its filling by suction of the product present in the fireplace.
