Seattle Ironmen
The Seattle Ironmen, often known as the "Bad Men of the Pacific Coast," were well-known for their rough, hard-nosed hockey. In fact, they piled up 1200 penalty minutes in 66 games during the 1947-48 season, far more than any other club in the PCHL at the time. That season, they would win 42 games, the most in the league and the most in any of their eight PCHL seasons. However, they would fall short in the playoffs, falling in the second round. While they normally had a successful regular season, they rarely made it past the first round of the playoffs. The Ironmen had some notable alumni, including Al Rollins, a long-time NHL goalkeeper in the 1950s, and Hall of Famer Fred Shero.
