Talia (Japanese: ヨシノ Yoshino) is a recurring character in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. She is an illustrator, and the wife of Professor Cerise and the mother of Chloe and Parker.

History

Pre-series

Professor Cerise and Talia during high school

As revealed in Best Friend...Worst Nightmare!, Talia and her future husband Professor Cerise attended the same high school. She wanted to become a mangaka, but found that practicing was becoming tedious. However, after Cerise encouraged her to continue pursuing her dreams, she decided to become an illustrator instead.

Pokémon Journeys: The Series

In the present day, Parker asked her to wake Chloe up for school. She later had breakfast with her family and then waved goodbye to Chloe and her husband as he drove Chloe off to school. Later, Talia had to go to Chloe's school after Chloe forgot her lunch. She sat down with her daughter after Chloe was left feeling uncomfortable during a class discussion about future aspirations.

In There's a New Kid in Town!, Chloe discovered that the manga Talia had been working on was inspired by Chloe and her Yamper during breakfast. An argument between the two ensued, but it was interrupted when Yamper appeared with an injured Pidove. With that, Talia and the rest of the family got together to treat the injured Pokémon and find its owner. When they found the owner, the family bade the Tiny Pigeon Pokémon farewell.

In The Cuteness Quotient!, Talia watched the Friendship Festival on television with some of Parker's friends.

In Memories of a Warming Kindness!, Talia received a call to cover the absence of a co-worker who ended up getting hurt. This left Chloe with no one to spend the night with.

Talia reappeared in Sleuths for Truth!.

In Nightfall? Nightmares!, Talia told Chloe that she had to drop out of their planned family vacation due to an illustration job. When Chloe decided to travel to Sinnoh on her own, Talia packed her a bag containing just the essentials, instead of an overstuffed suitcase that she had been planning to take along.

In This Could be the Start of Something Big!, Talia joined a party taking place at Cerise Laboratory.

Character

Talia displays a calm, kind and caring character. She has shown to be quite close to her daughter, Chloe as she helps her style her hair and advised Chloe to take her time in choosing her own path in life. As an illustrator, Talia often incorporates elements of daily life in her works. The main character of her current work is based on Chloe and Yamper.
