Abstract
Description
また、本実施態様の切削工具では、超硬合金の表面に被覆層を被覆することができる。被覆層としては、例えば、平均厚みが0~0.7μmのTiN層と、平均厚みが1~3μmのTiCN層と、平均厚みが0~0.1μmのTiCO、TiNOおよびTiCNOのうちのいずれかからなる中間層と、平均厚みが0.3~0.7μmのAl2O3層と、平均厚みが0~0.7μmのTiCxNy層(0<x、0.5≦y、x+y=1)からなる最表層とが順に積層されてなる。上述した構成の超硬合金に上記被覆層を被覆することによって、インコネル等のニッケル基合金のミリング加工にて長寿命な切削加工が可能となる。なお、本実施態様によれば、この被覆層はCVD法によって作製されている。
また、被覆層としては上記構成に限定されるものではない。例えば、前記超硬合金の表面に、平均厚みが3.0~5.5μmのTi1-a-bAlaMb(C1-xNx)(ただし、MはCr、Si、W、Mo、Ta、Hf、Nb、ZrおよびYから選ばれる少なくとも1種、0.2≦a≦0.7、0≦b≦0.4、0≦x≦1)からなる被覆層が被覆されてなる実施態様であってもよい。チタン合金やSUSのミリング加工にて長寿命な切削加工が可能となる。本実施態様によれば、この被覆層はPVD法によって作製されている。
本発明の被覆工具を作製する方法について説明する。
まず、第1の実施態様である化学気相蒸着(CVD)法によって被覆層を成膜する方法の一例について説明する。
初めに、反応ガス組成として四塩化チタン(TiCl4)ガスを0.5~10体積%、窒素(N2)ガスを10~60体積%、残りが水素(H2)ガスからなる混合ガスを調整して反応チャンバ内に導入し、チャンバ内を800~940℃、8~50kPaの条件でTiN層を成膜する。
(切削条件)
被削材 :インコネル718 角材
工具形状:PNMU1205ANER-GM(京セラ株式会社製インサート)
切削速度:40m/分
送り速度:0.15mm/刃
切り込み:2.0mm(軸方向)×10mm(径方向)
その他 :水溶性切削液使用
評価項目:各試料10コーナーずつ切削を行い欠損に至るまでの平均切削時間と、最短で欠損した時の切削時間を測定、算出した。また、切削時間5分まで加工できた試料については、切削時間5分における逃げ面摩耗量を測定した。
(切削条件)
被削材 :Ti-6Al-4V合金 角材
工具形状:PNMU1205ANER-SM(京セラ株式会社製インサート)
切削速度:60m/分
送り速度:0.25mm/刃
切り込み:2.0mm(軸方向)×10mm(径方向)
その他 :水溶性切削液使用
評価方法:欠損に至るまでの加工時間および加工時間30分後の切刃の状態
Claims (9)
- WC相を主体として、Coを11.5~12.5質量%と、CrをCr3C2換算量で0.2~0.6質量%との割合で含有してなり、前記WC相の平均粒径が0.85~1.05μmであり、抗磁力(Hc)が13.0~16.0kA/m、ロックウェル硬度(HRA)が89.5~90.5の超硬合金からなる切削工具。
- 抗折力が3.5GPa以上で、ワイブル係数が10以上である請求項1記載の切削工具。
- 飽和磁化(Ms)が165~200kA/m、破壊靭性値(K1C)が16MPa・m1/2以上である請求項1または2記載の切削工具。
- 前記Coは前記WC相間を結合する結合相中に存在するとともに、該結合相中にはタングステン(W)を含有し、前記超硬合金の表面と内部との間に、前記タングステンの含有比率が最大値を取る位置が存在する請求項1乃至3のいずれか記載の切削工具。
- 前記結合相中のタングステンの含有比率が最大値を取る位置が、前記表面から50~200μmの範囲内にある請求項4記載の切削工具。
- 前記超硬合金の表面に被覆層を被覆してなる請求項1乃至5のいずれか記載の切削工具。
- 前記超硬合金の表面に、平均厚みが0~0.7μmのTiN層と、平均厚みが1~3μmのTiCN層と、平均厚みが0~0.1μmのTiCO、TiNOおよびTiCNOのうちのいずれかからなる中間層と、平均厚みが0.3~0.7μmのAl2O3層と、平均厚みが0~0.7μmのTiCxNy層(0<x、0.5≦y、x+y=1)からなる最表層とが、前記基体側から順に積層されてなる請求項6記載の切削工具。
- 前記超硬合金の表面に、平均厚みが3.0~5.5μmのTi1-a-bAlaMb(C1-xNx)(ただし、MはCr、Si、W、Mo、Ta、Hf、Nb、ZrおよびYから選ばれる少なくとも1種、0.2≦a≦0.7、0≦b≦0.4、0≦x≦1)からなる被覆層が被覆されてなる請求項6記載の切削工具。
- 前記被覆層が、Ti1-a1-b1Ala1Mb1(C1-x1Nx1)(ただし、MはCr、Si、W、Mo、Ta、Hf、Nb、ZrおよびYから選ばれる少なくとも1種、0.2≦a1≦0.7、0≦b1≦0.4、0≦x1≦1)からなる第1薄層と、Ti1-a2-b2Ala2Mb2(C1-x2Nx2)(ただし、MはCr、Si、W、Mo、Ta、Hf、Nb、ZrおよびYから選ばれる少なくとも1種、0.2≦a2≦0.7、0≦b2≦0.4、0≦x2≦1、a1=a2かつb1=b2かつx1=x2を除く。)からなる第2薄層とが、交互に積層された多層構成からなる請求項8記載の切削工具。
