Designer Carol Risley | Rich's Cigar Store in Portland | Prasad | Physical Element

My friend, designer Carol Risley brought me to the holy grail of magazines while I was in Portland last: Rich's Cigar Store. We looked at magazines for so long and when Carol had to head home I continued looking at magazines even longer. I came home with a few that I'd never seen before.

Before shopping we met up at Prasad vegan restaurant and had the most beautiful and delicious lunch. Their sister restaurant Harlow is my favorite breakfast spot in Portland.

Carol also brought me to Physical Element in the Pearl District where some of her bags are currently sold. Another really great place I hadn't yet been in Portland. Last visit Carol introduced me to Stand Up Comedy... She's on a role!

Marina Lueschen and Sonja Lueschen | Outside Molly Moon's

I found these cousins sitting outside Molly Moon's on Pine street right after Sonja flew in from California. A love of vintage clothing runs in their family. You can find Marina's vintage shop here and Sonja's here.

Heidi Moritz and Tonya McNabb | Upper Queen Anne

I found Heidi and Tonya in Upper Queen Anne at the Thursday night farmers market. These long time friends both had such lovely summer style. It was really hot out and they both looked so put together but still casual.

The farmers market up on Queen Anne is pretty great!  The whole neighborhood seems to come out and hang together. Lots of food carts, market booths and even some live music. Very summery.
