Amanda has the best style. I've taken a few pictures of her over the years. And she's one of those people who isn't afraid to change her hair, something totally different every time I see her. 

I came across Diana Li on a recent visit to Fremont. As much as lot of people love to hate the sandals and socks look this trend is undeniable. It seems like every few seasons this dividing trend makes an appearance on the runway and then soon after on the streets.   I find the look totally endearing when done right and will cop to pairing my sandals with socks on occasion.  Diana owns Vancouver based store Front and Company. They have the most incredible window displays which you can see a few photos of in the Gallery section of their website.

This is my brother Wray and my mom with me in her belly in 1982. I love this picture. My brother was this sweet and gentle even as an adult.

Mother's Day has a different meaning for everyone depending on where they are in life. As I get older I'm really starting to recognize how difficult this day is for so many... People who have lost their moms, moms who have endured the loss of a child, or those like my mom who have experienced both of these things. So this year on Mother's Day I am beyond thankful for the incredible mom in my life but I am also thinking of the difficulty that this day brings for so many and sending love their way.
