Grace
Grace- 10th & Pine in front of Flora & Henry
There was just something special about Grace's style when I came across her. Super simple but with a few quirky touches that I'm guessing make her smile because that is what they did for me. Bag casually undone, shirt a little too big and mismatched socks... I liked it all. People always ask me what I am looking for when I take photos for this site and it is style like this that really helps to show my typical answer to the question. I don't know until I see it.

Recent Don Desserts
I have a few food posts I have been meaning to put up. Here are a couple desserts Don has made in the last few weeks...
Apple Pie
Don's secret to a perfect apple pie is to pour in the filling sauce once the pie is filled with the apples and covered in lattice. This created a sugary crystalized crust topping once cooked. What a perfect apple pie!
An entire bark of white chocolate was melted in the double boiler and then poured into the cheesecake mix before it went into the springform pan. The large proportion of chocolate within the cheesecake made for one the richest and most silky desserts I have ever eaten. He worked from this recipe.
Tonight; chocolate apricot oatmeal cookies for molly moon filled ice cream sandwiches. We are having family over tomorrow for homemade Chicago style pizza dinner and the cookie sandwiches are going to be dessert!

Deb
Deb- Floyd's Coffee on 15th Ave & SE Morrison in Portland
What an adorable gal! I love the height of the skirt, the bold pattern, these shorty boots and best of all; a fantastic smile. I know I've said it many times but the people in Portland are so so nice. Everyone I stopped for photos was eager to find out about the blog and happy to tell me all about PDX spots that I shouldn't miss. Between its great support of local businesses the friendly dwellers and the out of this world food I have to say I am a huge fan.

Chloe Scheffe
Chloe- Pike/Pine Corridor
Recently I posted about It's My Darlin' being written up on It's Symmetrical. Chloe is the creator of that oh-so-wonderful site. I got a chance to take some photos of Chloe and her sister Chelsey a little while back. I am so glad I got this opportunity to get to know them and find out about their work. As I mentioned before, I've really been enjoying both of their blogs. So much artistic inspiration The creativity in this city never ceases to amaze me. Check out Chloe's graphic design/photography work here.

Alex
Alex- 4th & Pine in front of Macy's.
It was funny. When I stopped this handsome fella for a photo it turned out he was out doing the same thing as me, but for his job. Alex works for Bay area indie fashion website Bobbepin. After I finished taking his photo he took mine. Certainly not my most becoming photo but I was flattered to be asked nonetheless.

Sam & Butter
Sam & Butter- Ace Hotel Portland
While walking through downtown Portland I found Sam and the utterly adorable Butter relaxing with some morning coffee outside the Ace. They were visiting from NY and enjoying Portland as much as I was on my trip.

Ryan & Ashley
Ryan & Ashley- 9th & Pine
I love these red glasses! I also love the story behind them. Ryan lost his old glasses in the ocean so he found these at Eyes on Fremont as a replacement. Sometimes when something good leaves it makes room for something even better. I try to tell myself that when cleaning out my closet once a year... hard to live by.

Tim
Tim- 3rd & Pine downtown Seattle
Such a refreshing outfit. These shoes are vintage Ferragamo. They were a classic when he bought them and remain a classic today.

Early Style
This was definitely the earliest I have ever taken a photo for the blog... probably around 6am as that is when I am generally walking to work.

Chris
Chris Ryan- Spella Cafe SW 5th downtown Portland
On my most recent trip to Portland I did a whole day of walking around different neighborhoods in the city and I found some really neat style amongst my restaurant and boutique stops. While I was downtown I passed Chris on his break and and I told him how much I loved his work attire. After chatting for a while he went back to work and I followed for some photos and a cup of Spella Caffe's house made Chai Tea. This coffee shop was so lovely inside with a mix vintage European decor and old American soda fountain. Everyone working there was so enjoyable to talk with and all of the drinks that I saw them makes were just as gorgeous as my Chai. I even got a fresh seltzer from the tap while I waited for my drink. I love this spot.

Hill Style- Jane & Sharon
I found Sharon again recently looking just as well styled as the first time I took her photo last year and her friend Jane made my day with her pink pants. This was my photo choice for the most recent Hill Style piece over at CHS.
The photo I took last Sept of Sharon and her friend Caryl is also one of the outfits that Lucky Magazine used in their Style Spy section earlier this year.
Lots of hyperlinks today...
