Is the Oscar Center medical office in Brooklyn a viable business?
I'm considering switching to Oscar Center for primary care, but I'm worried that they're an unviable experiment (like their predecessor, Freelancers Medical, which I really liked until they cancelled) and will be shut down soon. Is there any way to tell how dedicated Oscar Insurance is to keeping them going?
Medical offices like Freelancers Medical or One Medical in Brooklyn?
I was a customer of Freelancers Medical in Brooklyn, and I loved their approach to medical care. They went out of business and transferred their patients to One Medical, which isn't as nice but still way more pleasant than a traditional primary care practice. Are there other practices in NYC (preferably near Park Slope) with a similar approach? [more inside]
One fat bee patrols my deck
Ever since spring weather arrived in Brooklyn, there's been a single large bee patrolling my 3rd floor balcony. (1) What's the deal with this bee - where can I read more about its lifestyle? And (2) can I gently discourage it and its kind from hanging out and buzzing around my head when I want to sit out in the sun? What's that spicy smell in Park Slope?
There's something in the air around here lately - Park Slope, Brooklyn - that smells a lot like cloves or clove oil, and a bit like pipe tobacco. It came on strong yesterday afternoon and is still drifting around today. [more inside]
