With Gratitude And Sincere Thanks

These moments gratify and amaze us, partly because of the Usual Monkeys (mostly Bravely Anonymous) who will be driven into poo-fling rage at the news, but mainly for the readers, old and new, who come here daily to see what we've churned out of the free ice cream machine. If we were our only reader, the blog would go on, but these milestones remind us we are not alone, and spur us, we hope, to better efforts over time.

The rollover will probably be in two to three hours (we're only about 1700 or so shy at the moment, with average days running 6K-10K visits), and we'll be out all day and about other business when it happens mid-morning. By the time we get home late tonight, we'll already be looking forward to the next million views, and what we'll contribute to generate them.

Be of good cheer. Our common enemies wouldn't be turning the screws down so hard on our internet sites, trying to ban our guns, or shooting our candidates if all those things didn't scare the Hell out of them. And they wouldn't be failing so hard at all three tasks if we weren't winning.

How...Curious

We have known for at least a year and a half that Gulag's minions were jacking around our blog view counts, since the day we watched them march backwards, in real time, and then stay at zero for hours, popping up to 2-3/minute, then reset to zero over and over again. (Of course, that never happens in Philadelphia or Atlanta vote counts, nosiree...)
We've never trusted the tally since, but we aren't too wrapped up about it either way, (other than a certain amount of surprise and humility whenever another million rolls over the odometer) and after a certain amount of screwing around, after steadily rising over the years, since the noted horsing around incidents, it's settled into a routine of 5K-10K/day, depending on content.

Which was apparently what we were supposed to assume.

We are beginning to suspect that whatever or whoever was doing the screwing around has lost its touch.
Out of nowhere, the reported view tally two days ago was 67K, yesterday's is 22K, and so far today we're at about 14K. Before we posted anything.

Maybe someone's screw-around-with-rightwing-blogview software has reached the end of tech support, and now the actual views are getting through unfiltered.

It doesn't change anything, and just underlines that the viewcounter is whacked, but it's funny to watch.

Humble Thanks

While we were fiddling around with sound files for Sunday Music, the blogometer seems to have rolled over another notch. To the random visitor hereabouts around 7AM EST, and 999,999 of your fellows since the last such, we offer our sincere appreciation for your dropping by, and our thanks for the early Valentine's Day present.

En Passant

Merci beaucoup.

Just now.
Lately, I post these notices mainly to piss off the ten people who still think the blog is struggling since the revocation of their superfluous blessings.
As if.
But their impotent rage tickles my funnybone to no end.

To the rest of you, sincere and continued thanks for dropping by.

Crazy People Walking 'Round

Got a couple of PMs asking me why the sudden flurry of posts yesterday. Everything's been a status quo shitshow and goatrope for months upon months. Lately, I've had some petty personal crap that occupied time and finances, and contributed to ennui. Sh*t happens. So I've been coasting a little bit online. Such is life.

But as the seismic foreshocks keep hammering away to anyone not catatonic, Spicy Time is definitely approaching, based on current course and speed. We are in unquestionable full Banana Republic status. All it needs now is a currency collapse or revolution to cement that in concrete to the neck. We may yet get both.

Even a few Normies are starting to twig to it. Just a bit. (Hell, who knows? Maybe Hannity or VDH will trip over it at some point, hopefully before molotov cocktails are the local drink of choice.)

But given a little prompting, and a day that's been an embarrassment of riches for commentary and public mockery? Yeah, I'm thinking I'm back.

Sunday Music: Head Over Heels

First of three hit singles from Go-Gos album #3, from the heart of 1984.

_____

Administrivia: It's also 1984 hereabouts, as apparently the rains have drowned local internet service. If I couldn't bootleg time at work, this post wouldn't even have gotten up today. We switched to music posts on Sundays because it's unfailingly the lightest day for blog traffic.

Regular posting resumes whenever TPTB decide that such service is any sort of priority for them. Which it apparently wasn't all day today.

And the weather-guessers predict three more days of monsoons starting tonight or tomorrow.

Huh.

According to Blogger's counter, that last post was #4000.

Whoopee.

Kept me off the streets, I suppose. And it's gluten-free. So there's that.

Bandwidth Issues

Seems that over-using YouTube for a TV has throttled one's internet access lately. Should be sorted out by Monday, but it's still annoying.

FYI: Retard Test Run Retreats In Failure

Visit erasure and active editing went on yesterday from about 1:50A PDT to about 17:00P PDT yesterday. For their trouble, and despite holding visits to near-zero numbers for 16 hours, something this blog hasn't experienced since about early 2009, the day's final tally ended up being 10% higher than recent normal. Which means, factoring in what they tried to erase, their efforts probably doubled the blog audience for the day.

And to be clear, this was no software/hardware "malfunction"; we watched recorded visits erased, and numbers reset to 0, multiple times, in real time, for hours yesterday. We'd come on, see X00 visits, then refresh, and watched them march backwards in subsequent refreshes until it was 2, 1, or 0. Over and over again.

This was Goolag fuckwits deliberately monkeyfucking the tallies.

Our entire meme collection - 3500+ examples - is still shadow-banned from all Google image search results.

So now we know EXACTLY what's giving them the biggest dose of the red-ass. Expect our output on that front to increase commensurately, and on other platforms.

Well-played, commie fucktards.

And Once Again, Sincere Thanks

Glanced up yesterday and saw the counter was about to roll over again.

I put this post up one short, so if you're the first one reading this, it was you.

We know we haven't posted anything in a couple of days, and this seems like the mid-summer doldrums, but when we've got something worth saying besides thanks for stopping by, we'll put it up.

My 4¢

Today's blogsave is now 2½ times the size of the hard drive on the second PC I ever owned. 12,500 times the size of the drive on the first PC I ever owned. 5 times the size of the total capacity on the company mainframe where I worked when I owned PC #2. But it fits on about 0.006% of the smallest thumb drive I can find at retail.

That's literally 4¢ worth of storage.

I'm betting my entire meme files (including raw stock) might come to a whole quarter's worth.

Hey, You!

That guy that clicked over here at 12:47:23 PST today:

Didn't we just do this a coupla/three months back? Yup. Thought so.  We were actually busy today doing Pt. II of this, but we left the free ice cream out before we left this morning, and are glad the party continued in our absence.

To you and all your predecessors, near and far, we offer our sincere and humble thanks.

We now return to the daily insanity, already in progress.

Pity It Doesn't Pay the Bills, But...

We weren't particularly interested at the time (evidenced by not noticing until now), but the odometer on our stat counter indicates we hit our 10,000,000th visit sometime late Monday. About 3 months since the last such rollover. It's about 250K/month now, which is a far cry from the single digits when we began, 12+ years ago. We expected neither the attention, nor the longevity. Huzzah. We hope that means we're hitting the mark more often than not.

Now that we are out of the single millions, we probably won't remark on it further until we hit multiples of ten.

To those who follow us, or link others here, our thanks for your visits, and best wishes to you in the trying times to come.

Mighty White Of Them, In An On-A-Stick Kind Of Way...

In what is certainly of minor interest to the world, but rather keenly followed by the host, TPTB have turned out to be the StayPuft Marshmallow Man of COVIDiocy enforcement.

Faced with 10-30% of available staff being flushed out the door, AFAIK, every request for exemption on medical or religious grounds, including our own, has been granted, in writing.

IOW, we retain our job indefinitely, despite refusal to be jabbed with the Vaxx.

We haven't seen a retreat this fast nor utterly complete since Gropey Dopey Joe pulled us out of Afghanistan.

It could be mere coincidence, and being overwhelmed with requests for exemption, but the process was so truncated with the September 30 deadline approaching like a freight train, or it could have been our own eloquence in the request letter, and the unassailable logic thereof, but in any event, what was supposed to have been a participatory process was, in fact, resolved entirely in our favor without so much as one word of back-and-forth. They took one look at what we outlined, and decided they didn't want to bother even discussing it. They simply caved (as we knew all along settled black-letter law would require) without a further peep from us.

We know how to take "Yes" for an answer.

Weeks of stress and potential personal upheaval, undone in a squeak of flatulence.

Problem solved.

Our required "reasonable accommodation"?

Weekly testing (we'll fight that battle vs. The State, not the employer required by them to put it upon us, but which requirement is illogical, pointless, and intended mainly to make our vaxx refusal more painful and onerous, with zero redeeming value to infection control), and wearing an N95 at work, which is already de rigeur for every swinging Richard at work now, 24/7/whenever, and thus a non-issue. They may as well have required us to wear pants, and breathe.

We recognize that not all employers are nor have been similarly sensible and circumspect in regard to their employees' rights, but are heartened that our own employer, who was not the least bit stupid about running headlong to join the Covidiots in their frothing frolics, until the State of Califrutopia, led by serial moron Gabbin' Nuisance, and then followed by senile buffoon Gropey Dopey, Emperor Alzheimers the First, chivied them into the bargain at virtual gunpoint, but this response on their part has pretty well hamstrung such silly-assed and unconstitutional mandates to the bone.

Huzzah.

We nonetheless continue to fully support anyone and everyone exercising their God-given right to raise a middle finger in reply to would-be vaxx-rape and vaxx-rapists of whatever stripe.

Too many employers have already decided that kowtowing to government jackboots is preferable to loyalty to their own employees, and those already cast adrift aren't going to go quietly in that good night, nor should they.

Conscious of their fate, we do not dance gleefully at our sudden return to an even keel, but look forward to the day when those wronged have just recompense, ideally involving scaffolds and nooses for the perpetrators, and which day we continue to see as inevitable, and drawing closer by the hour.

But we won't be shipping out on the first boxcars, at least not yet.

Whoop-De-Doo

We don't watch the daily hit counts, but the bigger things we usually notice. The blog hit 8,000,000 views end of January this year. We expected to pay it no more mind, but...

A couple hours ago, somewhere between 7 and 8AM EDT, the odometer rolled over to 9,000,000 visits. We are quietly amazed. To all those who drop by, once, time to time, or regular, and to the bloggers who link our efforts, we offer our humble and sincere thanks.

We have no plans to stop pissing on and pissing off TPTB anytime soon, most especially the illegitimate and fraudulent regime in power, and hope to amuse, inform, and entertain the readership as long as we may do so. Anyone unhappy with it will find their ticket price refunded at the door. Anyone pounding on the door had best bring friends, and leave the married men at home. We continue under the quaint but steadfast and enmarrowed notion that liberty is a birthright in these parts, and not table scraps to be dispensed at bureaucratic whimmage, and then only to the most obsequious toadies and minions.

Best Wishes, and may the years be as kind to you as they've been to us. We are presently healthy, happy, and have full bandoliers. We do not expect to go out that way. Make the most of your time, for all good purposes. And thank you again, one and all.

A Bit Busy At The Moment

Not enough hours in the day, and all that.

Back eventually. Besides, it's all SSDD anyways. Tyranny does what it does.

My Sincere Thanks

Everything above about the 10th visit to this site has been a continuing source of amazement to us. For some unknown person who logged on about 1830 hours EST last night, you should know that you were the 8,000,000th visitor. For you, and all those who made the other 7,999,999 visits since we rolled this thing down the launching ramp 12+ years ago, my humble and sincere thanks.

Given that we are clinically incapable of shutting up (my mother had me tested), the only things liable to stop this blog are the end of the power grid, our untimely death, or political ill winds. We intend to repel each of those boarders to the limits of our abilities for as long as humanly possible, and are glad so many have found stopping by to be worth the mouseclicks.

My continued best wishes to you all.
