Claims (2)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面(10a)が形成された外方部材(10)と、
一端部に車輪取付フランジ(4)を一体に有し、外周に軸方向に延びる円筒状の小径段部(2b)が形成されたハブ輪(2)、およびこのハブ輪(2)の小径段部(2b)に圧入された少なくとも一つの内輪(3)からなり、前記複列の外側転走面(10a)に対向する複列の内側転走面(2a)(3a)が形成された内方部材(1)と、
前記両転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体(8)と、
等速自在継手(13)を構成する外側継手部材(14)とを備え、この外側継手部材(14)が、カップ状のマウス部(18)と、このマウス部(18)の底部をなす肩部(19)と、この肩部(19)から軸方向に延びるステム部(20)とを一体に有し、このステム部(20)が前記ハブ輪(2)にセレーション(20a)を介してトルク伝達可能に内嵌されると共に、前記小径段部(2b)の端部を径方向外方に塑性変形させて形成した加締部(7)により前記内輪(3)が軸方向に固定され、前記加締部(7)が前記肩部(19)と突き合わせ状態で、前記外側継手部材(14)がねじ手段を介して前記ハブ輪(2)に軸方向に分離可能に結合された駆動車輪用軸受装置において、
前記加締部(7)が未焼入れ部とされ、その内端面が平坦面に形成され、前記肩部(19)の端面と全面当りして面圧を小さくすると共に、前記肩部(19)が高周波焼入れによって表面硬さを58〜64HRCの範囲に硬化処理され、当接面が切削加工または研削加工によって形成され、この当接面の直角度が、前記ステム部(20)に対して100μm内に、平面度が50μm内になるように規制されていることを特徴とする駆動車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記複列の内側転走面(2a)(3a)のうち、アウター側の内側転走面(2a)が前記ハブ輪(2)に直接形成されている請求項1に記載の駆動車輪用軸受装置。
