Abstract

To create a displacement-flow with low turbulence, use is made of an air exit with a cylindrical or polygonal external housing (1). In the casing of the external housing (1), there are arranged nozzles (2) which are distributed over the housing circumference. Inside the external casing (1), an internal housing (3) is arranged, the casing of which consists of a perforated metal sheet or sieve. The internal housing (3) surrounds a core space (5) which is acted upon via a connection piece (6). In order to make the jets emerging from the nozzles (2) of low turbulence and emerge with low induction into the space, and to be able to vary in a simple manner the direction of the jets, there is mounted on the end side of the external housing (1) facing away from the connection piece at least one flap (8) which is pivotable about a pin (7). As the nozzles (2) are arranged in a plane close to the flap (8), the direction of the jets emerging from the nozzles (2) is influenced depending upon the position of the flap, as according to the degree of opening of the flap (8) a part flow by volume enters into the space directly, which influences the direction in which the jets emerge from the nozzles (2). <IMAGE>
