オレゴン州ワスコ、ポートランド、そしてニューヨークのローワー・マンハッタンで行われた癒しのための音楽実験の場「ソングライツ・アポセカリー・ラボ」にて音楽療法、神経科学、黒人音楽、イスラム 神秘主義、南インドのカーナティック音楽など様々な分野の専門家とのコラボで生まれた楽曲を収録。 前作『12リトル・スペルズ』からヒーリング・アートと音楽の関係の探求をスタートさせたエスペランサだが、今作では自身による研究のみならず、プロフェッショナル、研究者の指導の下に音楽を作りたいと思ったとのことで、ソングライツ・アポセカリー・ラボを2020年2月に立ち上げた。ソングライツ・アポセカリー・ラボはエスペランサがハーバードで教えているコースでもあり、その生徒、ミュージシャン仲間、音楽療法、神経科学、演劇セラピーなどを研究する人々から成り立っていて、音楽の何が人間を助けるのかを研究するのが目的にしている。（『S
