These Letter Lights from Twine are created by artist Amy Adams and feature a letter (or letters) made up of tiny dots that allow the light to show through! This light fixture would be a great way to add a personal touch to any room with your initials, short name or word of your choice (up to 6 letters).

Multiverse is a huge light sculpture that was created by Leo Villareal and is stationed in the Concourse Walkway of the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC until November, 2009. The installation utilizes 41,000 LED nodes and runs through the entire 200 foot long space!

Rune Guneriussen takes amazing photographs that invite the viewer to see everyday objects in a new light. In the photos below you see lamps, globes and telephones immersed in a natural and beautiful environment. These photos are all from the singles gallery but I recommend that you look at all of the other collections too. It's well worth it!

This Tornado Dress by subTela has a beautiful stormy scene printed on it complete with a wicked funnel cloud but that's not the only thing that makes this dress great! This dress has been embroidered with conductive threads and LEDs that flash and simulate lightning effects.

These Wire Lights from Deadgood have an interesting design. If you'd like the illusion of a shade while letting a little extra light into your life then this lighting may be for you!

I love the idea of this glow brick. This solar powered brick sits around all day charging up and at night it will shine for you.

At dusk, the light starts glowing all green and mysterious, showing an awesome staying power throughout the darkest hours. The overall effect is of a disembodied shining light bulb suspended in mid air, which, you'd have to agree, is not something you see every day.

Meet the Sitooterie II by Heatherwick Studio! It's really an incredible structure.

The structure is a cube punctured by over 5000 long thin windows that project from all its surfaces and lift it off the ground. The cube, which measures 2.4 x 2.4 metres, is precision-machined from 15mm anodised aluminium and the windows are 18mm square-section aluminium tubes glazed with transparent orange acrylic.
As the long thin windows all point at the exact centre of the cube, it only takes a single light source, located at this central point, to send light through every tube, causing the windows to glow orange. A small number of them also project into the cube to form seating.
