LOMME (Light Over Matter Mind Evolution)

LOMME (Light Over Matter Mind Evolution) looks like it would be pretty comfortable to sleep in. It's open yet cozy at the same time and I just love the picture of it in the meadow below.
It uses color and light therapy as well as providing relaxing sounds and music via a built-in iPod.
It's also extremely expensive but if money was no object...

Crosley Revolution

The Crosley Revolution is a dual-speed portable turntable that runs on batteries making it a great accessory for the music lover on the go.
If you're looking to rip your records it has a USB hookup to do that too.
It's not out yet but look for it soon!

Inbi-Out GPS Coin by Ju-Wei Chen

This GPS coin concept by Ju-Wei Chen is called the Inbi-Out and at some point in the future it could possibly help you make some important decisions and save you from silly arguments when you're trying to decide where to eat...and then it will tell you how to get there (possibly saving you from another argument if your sense of direction is like mine). Intriguing.

The Telescope Walking Stick

This Telescope Walking Stick may not have been created in the spirit of steampunk but it certainly fits! It serves a dual purpose by being not just a cane to help you walk with (and making you look rather dapper while you do) but also being a telescope so when you need to take a rest you can screw on the telescope bit to study the stars.

Glow Beadwork Kit

This Glow Beadwork Kit from the Maker Shed allows you to make glowing jewelry and illuminated patches to sew onto your clothing. You create circuits by sewing with conductive thread (yay for no soldering! I'm accident prone.).

Stitch USB Humidifier

This Stitch USB Humidifier is a cross between really cute and really frightening. I think it's the glowing green eyes and large teeth that make him just a tiny bit scary. The design is very cute though and it's a great idea to have the vapor coming out of his mouth like that.

Dough-Nu-Matic Automatic Doughnut Machine

Here's a fun toy to play with! This automatic doughnut machine makes mini doughnuts in under a minute so this would be great if you have kids or grandkids who want to make things but are a little impatient. I'm sure they'd be a ton of fun to decorate!

Twilight Umbrellas

These Twilight Umbrellas light up to brighten up the darkest, rainiest days! They're a great way to be be visible (which is pretty important as a pedestrian walking around in poor weather) and there are three types to choose from! The first has blue lights (only visible on the outside of the umbrella), the second has colored phasing lights (also only visible on the outside of the umbrella) and the third option has colored phasing lights that are visible from both the outside of the umbrella and the inside so you can enjoy the light show too!

Mini Star Wars Lightsaber Lamp/Toy

This is a cool little desk toy...and at 33 cms long, it really is little compared to the lightsaber toys you may be used to seeing. This toy plugs into your USB port to charge up and once it's charged you can remove it from its base and have fun with your mini lightsaber!

Glow Brick

I love the idea of this glow brick. This solar powered brick sits around all day charging up and at night it will shine for you.

At dusk, the light starts glowing all green and mysterious, showing an awesome staying power throughout the darkest hours. The overall effect is of a disembodied shining light bulb suspended in mid air, which, you'd have to agree, is not something you see every day.

Nobby Voice Recognition Clock

Nobby is a cute little voice recognition clock who serves as an alarm clock and also someone you can chitchat with in the mornings. Nobby responds to several voice commands but his reply isn't always pleasant.

Just be warned, sometimes he'll flatter you, other times his response could leave your ego slightly bruised! Like the best of us, Nobby can be a little sensitive, so don't shout at him or he may give you the silent treatment!

Regardless, Nobby is still a pretty neat little guy and I have to mention that he has cute little spikes down his back that make him look like a dinosaur from behind.

Keyboard Wafflemaker

What's better than this keyboard wafflemaker that makes waffles shaped like keyboards? A keyboard that makes waffles.
I have to say that my keyboard doesn't make me waffles and definitely isn't a waffle (though that would bring a whole new meaning to the term "sticky keys").
This keyboard wafflemaker is definitely cool though and from what I've read about it on Treehugger.com, it seems to be a project that was designed by Chris Dimino for a group exhibit for the School of Visual Arts so you probably won't be seeing it in stores anytime soon (but who knows?).
