The Sake Bomb by Alexander Purcell makes for a fun and interesting way to serve sake to friends! The Sake Bomb comes in your choice of white, black, blue or orange with 4 sake glasses in those same colors.

I'm intrigued by this thing and not just because it looks like some sort of alien device. This is the Foodpod and apparently it's supposed to reduce the cooking time when boiling, blanching or steaming foods.

With this Steampunk Flash Drive you can carry a little bit of steampunk with you wherever you go! It was made by qacreate on Etsy and it looks pretty spiffy with its copper coloring and vintage watch and clock gears.

This GPS coin concept by Ju-Wei Chen is called the Inbi-Out and at some point in the future it could possibly help you make some important decisions and save you from silly arguments when you're trying to decide where to eat...and then it will tell you how to get there (possibly saving you from another argument if your sense of direction is like mine). Intriguing.

This Telescope Walking Stick may not have been created in the spirit of steampunk but it certainly fits! It serves a dual purpose by being not just a cane to help you walk with (and making you look rather dapper while you do) but also being a telescope so when you need to take a rest you can screw on the telescope bit to study the stars.

This Glow Beadwork Kit from the Maker Shed allows you to make glowing jewelry and illuminated patches to sew onto your clothing. You create circuits by sewing with conductive thread (yay for no soldering! I'm accident prone.).

This Stitch USB Humidifier is a cross between really cute and really frightening. I think it's the glowing green eyes and large teeth that make him just a tiny bit scary. The design is very cute though and it's a great idea to have the vapor coming out of his mouth like that.

The Visible Sound Project was developed by the interactive design group SOUNDS.BUTTER. This sewing machine concept would "hear" sounds and then create a zigzag stitched pattern to go with the soundwaves.
Wouldn't it be fun to wear your favorite song on a shirt?

This R2D2 Aquarium not only looks like R2D2 (except for the fishtank stomach, of course) but he makes R2D2 sounds as well and has some pretty cool red, green and blue overhead LED tank lights . From what I hear these are supposed to be a pretty popular gift this Christmas season and I can see why. They're very slim, portable, cute and easy to use. With this gadget in your pocket you can record a video anytime and anywhere with ease!

These Twilight Umbrellas light up to brighten up the darkest, rainiest days! They're a great way to be be visible (which is pretty important as a pedestrian walking around in poor weather) and there are three types to choose from! The first has blue lights (only visible on the outside of the umbrella), the second has colored phasing lights (also only visible on the outside of the umbrella) and the third option has colored phasing lights that are visible from both the outside of the umbrella and the inside so you can enjoy the light show too!

This brain plasma ball is pretty freaking cool and would be a wonderful addition to any mad scientist's laboratory...or your living room. I remember really wanting a plasma ball when I was a kid and this one is definitely one hundred times cooler than the ones I always drooled over.

These tiny robotic insects are very cool toys and I think they would be really interesting to watch. In fact, I'd probably spend way too much time watching it make its way around my apartment!

HEX Bug feels its way around sensing objects in its path and avoiding them. Its antennae are touch sensitive, so if it runs into something it will back up and turn direction. It can also hear! You can control where it scurries through a hand clap, loud noise or table slap – it will then backup and turn away! The robotic bug will travel forward until it hits an obstacle or hears a loud noise. It will then backup in a half circle and then move forward in a different direction.

This is a cool little desk toy...and at 33 cms long, it really is little compared to the lightsaber toys you may be used to seeing. This toy plugs into your USB port to charge up and once it's charged you can remove it from its base and have fun with your mini lightsaber!

This vending machine dispenses books! I can think of many times in my life when I would have loved to have had this thing available.

I love the idea of this glow brick. This solar powered brick sits around all day charging up and at night it will shine for you.

At dusk, the light starts glowing all green and mysterious, showing an awesome staying power throughout the darkest hours. The overall effect is of a disembodied shining light bulb suspended in mid air, which, you'd have to agree, is not something you see every day.
