Description
少なくとも前記記憶手段に記憶されている前記第1の動画像データを再生する再生手段と、を備え、
前記記憶手段は、前記再生手段による前記第1の動画像データの再生が中断された箇所を示す再生管理情報を記憶し、
前記再生管理情報は、前記第2の動画像データおよび前記再生管理情報が外部機器により利用可能な状態において、前記第1の動画像データにおいて中断された箇所に対応する箇所から前記第2の動画像データの再生が前記外部機器において開始されるために用いられる、再生装置である。
また、第2の本発明は、前記記憶手段は、着脱可能な記録媒体であり、
前記外部機器において前記第2の動画像データが再生される際には、前記外部機器に前記記録媒体が装着されて利用される、第1の本発明の再生装置である。
また、第3の本発明は、放送番組を受信する受信手段と、
前記受信手段が放送番組を受信するのに応じて、前記放送番組を示す前記第1の動画像データを取得する第1取得手段と、
前記第2の動画像を取得する第2取得手段と、をさらに備える、第1又は第2の本発明の再生装置である。

連続データ領域の最小サイズ = Vo×Tj×Vr/(Vr−Vo)
で表すことができる。ここで、Vo、Vrは、MPEG2の場合とMPEG4の場合とで異なり、それぞれ圧縮方式に対して、適切な連続データ領域の最小サイズである、第1の所定の連続データ領域、および第2の所定の連続データ領域が決定される。また、図11は上式の関係を図示したものである。このように連続データ領域が決定されることにより、図12に示すように、2つの動画ストリームが交互に記録されている場合でも、データがフリーズすることなく各データを取り出すことができる。
前記記録媒体から取り出された信号を復号化する復号部と、
前記再生部における再生中断情報を含む再生管理情報を前記記録管理情報に対応させて前記記録媒体に記録する記録部とを備える再生装置である。
前記記録媒体から取り出されたいずれかの信号を復号化する復号部とを備え、
前記記録媒体から取り出されたいずれかの信号は、前記再生部および/または前記復号部に適合しており、
前記再生部は、前記記録管理情報および前記再生管理情報に基づいて、前記再生管理情報に含まれる前記再生中断情報に対応する信号以降の信号を前記記録媒体から取り出す再生装置である。
前記記録管理情報は、前記MPEG2で圧縮された信号および前記MPEG4で圧縮された信号を対応づける情報であり、
前記再生中断情報に対応する信号以降の信号の圧縮方式は、本発明に関連する第1の発明の再生装置において再生されていた信号の圧縮方式とは異なる圧縮方式である、本発明に関連する第5の発明の再生装置である。
前記本発明に関連する第1の発明または第2の所定の連続データ領域は、

Vo×Tj×Vr/(Vr−Vo)、(Vo:前記ヘッドからの前記各信号の送り出し速度(Mbps)、Tj:前記ヘッドの最大シーク時間(秒)、Vr:前記ヘッドへの前記記録媒体から前記各信号のデータ読み出し速度(Mbps))で表される、本発明に関連する第9の発明の記録装置である。
前記記録媒体から前記いずれかの信号を取り出す工程と、
再生中断情報を含む再生管理情報を前記記録管理情報に対応させて前記記録媒体に記録する工程と、
前記再生管理情報が記録された前記記録媒体から前記記録管理情報および前記再生管理情報を取り出す工程と、
前記記録管理情報および前記再生管理情報に基づいて、前記再生管理情報に含まれる前記再生中断情報に対応する信号以降の信号を、前記再生管理情報が記録された前記記録媒体から取り出す工程と、
前記再生中断情報に対応する信号以降の信号を復号する工程と、
前記再生中断情報に対応する信号以降の信号は、前記取り出す工程および/または前記復号工程に適合している、記録再生方法である。

Claims (4)
- 第1の動画像データと、前記第1の動画像データに対応し、前記第1の動画像データよりも縮小された第2の動画像データと、を対応付けて記憶する記憶手段と、
少なくとも前記記憶手段に記憶されている前記第1の動画像データを再生する再生手段と、を備え、
前記記憶手段は、前記再生手段による前記第1の動画像データの再生が中断された箇所を示す再生管理情報を記憶し、
前記再生管理情報は、前記第2の動画像データおよび前記再生管理情報が外部機器により利用可能な状態において、前記第1の動画像データにおいて中断された箇所に対応する箇所から前記第2の動画像データの再生が前記外部機器において開始されるために用いられる、再生装置。 - 前記記憶手段は、着脱可能な記録媒体であり、
前記外部機器において前記第2の動画像データが再生される際には、前記外部機器に前記記録媒体が装着されて利用される、請求項1に記載の再生装置。 - 放送番組を受信する受信手段と、
前記受信手段が放送番組を受信するのに応じて、前記放送番組を示す前記第1の動画像データを取得する第1取得手段と、
前記第2の動画像を取得する第2取得手段と、をさらに備える、請求項1又は2に記載の再生装置。 - 前記再生管理情報は、前記第1の動画像データの再生が開始されてからの経過時間に関する、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の再生装置。
