Abstract

252,424. Burn, J. Feb. 23, 1925. Radial-flow (bladed) type.-A radial-flow turbine is provided with a central chamber B of the form shown having a number of holes C in the circumferential wall for projecting pressure water against the vanes E of the rotor, which is carried by a shaft G mounted in ball bearings H. A casing J serves as a shield to prevent spray water from flying from the turbine. Specifications 12767/97; 16694/06, and 20540/12, [both in Class 10. Animal-power engines &c.], and 162,790 are referred to.
