466,259. High - speed turbo blowers. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. Dec. 1, 1936. No. 32950. Convention date, Dec. 12, 1935. [Class 110 (i)] The rotor of a high-speed turbo-blower has the blade-carrying portion c formed by two similar rings a, e one of which is supported on the hub portion d by connecting means allowing for the larger centrifugal expansion of the rings relative to the hub. Such means may be a bulbous-ended cylindrical ring g, Fig. 3, or radially arranged pins f, Fig. 5, this latter Figure also showing an internal guide wheel i with blades k for the entering fluid and packing arrangements whereby the hub portion d is balanced against fluid pressure.
