Water-tube boilers.-Relates to a boiler of the kind comprising elements consisting of vertical tubes connected to upper and lower drums and placed within flues at the sides of the furnacechamber containing the main boiler element, which consists of horizontally - inclined tubes connected to headers. Feed - water heating- elements are placed above and connected to the top drums of the vertical-tube element. The heaters consist of inclined tubes r connected to the top drums j of the side elements i by pipes q. The water-spaces of the drums j are divided by transverse partitions l. The drums are connected to the main drum g by steam and water pipes l<1>, p. The side flues are provided with vertical baffles o. A superheater may be fitted in the space between the tubes b of the main element and the return-tubes 1.
