Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及眼内晶状体(IOLs),尤其涉及用于将IOLs注入到眼中的盒。
背景技术
人眼的最简单功能在于通过经由被称为角膜的透明外部分透射和折射光,并且进一步依靠晶状体将图像聚焦在眼睛后面的视网膜上提供视觉。聚焦图像的质量取决于许多因素,包括眼睛的大小、形状和长度,以及角膜和晶状体的形状和透明度。
当创伤、年龄或疾病导致晶状体变得不太透明时,视觉由于可以透射到视网膜的光减少而退化。眼睛的晶状体的该缺陷在医学上被称为白内障。该状况的治疗是手术摘除晶状体和植入人造晶状体或IOL。

发明内容
本发明通过提供一种用于IOL输送系统的盒改进现有技术,所述盒包括在盒的远尖端的延伸蓬盖和提供插入深度限制和防止盒尖端完全插入的周边突出部、凸缘或止挡部,同时在折叠晶状体通过伤口时导引和控制所述晶状体的所述延伸蓬盖打开和支撑伤口。另外,所述突出部为切口提供支撑以减小通过撕裂破坏伤口的趋势。
因此本发明的目标是提供一种用于晶状体输送系统的盒,该盒具有在远尖端的延伸蓬盖。
本发明的进一步目标是提供一种用于晶状体输送系统的盒,该盒包含提供插入深度限制的周边突出部、凸缘或止挡部。
本发明的更进一步目标是提供一种用于晶状体输送系统的盒,该盒包含为切口提供支撑以减小通过撕裂破坏伤口的趋势的周边突出部、凸缘或止挡部。

具体实施方式
在图1中最佳地可见,本发明的晶状体盒10通常包括主体12和喷嘴14。盒10可以由任何合适的热塑性塑料例如聚丙烯模制,并且热塑性塑料可以包含例如在美国专利No.5,716,364中公开的润滑增强剂,上述专利的全部内容被引用于此作为参考。喷嘴14可以与主体12形成一体。喷嘴14包括远尖端16。主体12包含腔孔或腔15。在使用前,IOL13初始定位在主体12的腔15内。
在图2-3中最佳地可见,远尖端16包括开口18、蓬盖20和周边突出部22。蓬盖20从远尖端16延伸并且用于在IOL 13插入前打开伤口。另外,蓬盖20的上部分21在伤口辅助输送期间为折叠IOL 13提供支撑。在图2和3所示的优选实施例中,蓬盖20完全包围开口18。在该实施例中,蓬盖20从在大约12点钟位置32的在大约1.5毫米至2.4毫米之间(优选大约1.9毫米)的其最大长度逐渐缩小以与在大约6点钟位置34的开口18齐平。在图4所示的第二实施例中,蓬盖20’从大约10点钟位置24到大约2点钟位置26仅仅部分包围开口18’。类似于蓬盖20,蓬盖20’从在位置27的在大约1.5毫米至2.4毫米之间(并且优选大约1.9毫米)的最大长度逐渐缩小以与在大约10点钟位置24和大约2点钟位置26的开口18’齐平。在图5所示的第三实施例中,蓬盖20”从大约9点钟位置28到大约3点钟位置30大致包围开口18”。在该实施例中,蓬盖20”也从在位置25的在大约1.5毫米至2.4毫米之间(并且优选大约1.9毫米)的最大长度逐渐缩小以与在大约9点钟位置28和大约3点钟位置30的开口18”齐平。
周边突出部22可以是适合于防止远尖端16完全进入切口的任何部件,例如凸缘或止挡部。周边突出部22从远尖端16的外壁36侧向地延伸,并且可以是完全包围喷嘴14的连续突出部。然而,周边突出部22可以不是连续的并且最优选地包括例如从远尖端16的外壁36的两侧侧向地延伸的多个突出部22。周边突出部22用作插入深度限制,并且防止远尖端16完全插入伤口入口中。周边突出部22的远端面23可以是方形的或倾斜大约18至26度之间(优选大约22度)的角。这样的倾斜将允许与眼睛的表面的更密切接触和提供更小的组织刺激,原因是盒10在使用中通常保持与眼睛52成一个角度,如图6中所示。蓬盖20和周边突出部22都可以与喷嘴14的远尖端16形成一体。
在图6中所示的操作期间,外科医生在眼睛52中制造切口50。将蓬盖20插入切口50中这样一个深度,即,使得突出部22接触眼睛52的表面并且防止进一步插入。当IOL 13移动通过开口18,通过切口50,并且插入眼睛52中时,蓬盖20的上部分21保持切口50打开并且支撑IOL 13。

Claims (15)

1.一种眼内晶状体注入盒,其包括:
a)主体,其具有内腔;
b)管状喷嘴,其具有外壁和开口,所述喷嘴从所述主体朝远端突出,所述开口流体连接到所述主体的所述内腔;
c)蓬盖,其从所述开口朝远侧突出;以及
d)至少一个周边突出部,其与所述开口邻近地从所述喷嘴的所述外壁侧向延伸。
2.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述蓬盖在大约10点钟位置至大约2点钟位置之间部分地围绕所述开口。
3.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述蓬盖在大约9点钟位置至大约3点钟位置之间部分地围绕所述开口。
4.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述蓬盖完全围绕所述开口。
5.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述周边突出部包括多个突出部。
6.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述周边突出部包括包围所述喷嘴的连续突出部。
7.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述周边突出部包括倾斜的远端面。
8.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述周边突出部包括凸缘。
9.根据权利要求1所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述周边突出部包括止挡部。
10.一种眼内晶状体注入盒,其包括:
a)主体,其具有内腔;
b)管状喷嘴,其具有外壁和开口,所述喷嘴从所述主体朝远侧突出,所述开口流体连接到所述主体的所述内腔;
c)蓬盖,其从所述开口朝远侧突出,所述蓬盖在大约9点钟位置至大约3点钟位置之间部分地围绕所述开口;以及
d)多个周边突出部,其与所述开口邻近地从所述喷嘴的所述外壁侧向延伸。
11.根据权利要求10所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述突出部包括倾斜远端面。
12.一种眼内晶状体注入盒,其包括:
a)主体,其具有内腔;
b)管状喷嘴,其具有外壁和开口,所述喷嘴从所述主体朝远侧突出,所述开口流体连接到所述主体的所述内腔;
c)蓬盖,其从所述开口朝远侧突出,所述蓬盖在大约10点钟位置至大约2点钟位置之间部分地围绕所述开口;以及
d)多个周边突出部,其与所述开口邻近地从所述喷嘴的所述外壁侧向延伸。
13.根据权利要求12所述的眼内晶状体注入盒,其中所述突出部包括倾斜的远端面。
14.一种将眼内晶状体输送到眼睛的方法,其包括以下步骤:
a)提供一种眼内晶状体注入盒,其具有主体;喷嘴;远尖端,所述远尖端具有开口和从所述开口朝远侧突出的蓬盖;和至少一个周边突出部;
b)在眼睛中制造切口;
c)将所述晶状体注入盒的所述蓬盖插入所述切口中;
d)使眼睛与所述周边突出部接触以防止所述远尖端进一步插入所述切口中;以及
e)通过所述切口将晶状体插入眼中。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,其进一步包括用所述蓬盖保持所述切口打开的步骤。
