- the entire range of the substrate 4 held by the first mounting head 13A on the substrate holding part 3 of each of the first substrate transport mechanism 2A and the second substrate transport mechanism 2B is shown. It is set as a necessary and sufficient moving area to cover.
- the limit region outside the second movable limit region R2A is defined by the moving range necessary for the first mounting head 13A to take out the component from the first component supply unit 5A, and the inner limit region is the second limit region. Is defined as a range obtained by adding a predetermined margin to the peripheral edge of the substrate 4 in the substrate transport mechanism 2B.
- the second mounting head 13B moving by the second head moving mechanism 12B in the second mounting lane L2 is allowed to move in the horizontal direction.
- the second mounting head 13B of the substrate 4 held by the substrate holding part 3 of each of the first substrate transfer mechanism 2A and the second substrate transfer mechanism 2B is shown. It is set as a necessary and sufficient moving area to cover the entire range. That is, the limit region outside the second movable limit region R2B is defined by the movement range necessary for the second mounting head 13B to take out the component from the second component supply unit 5B, and the inner limit region is the first limit region. Is defined as a range obtained by adding a predetermined margin to the peripheral edge of the substrate 4 in the substrate transport mechanism 2A.
- the limit areas in which the horizontal movement of the respective mounting heads in the first mounting lane L1 and the second mounting lane L2 are allowed correspond to the first working mode and the second working mode, respectively.
- the mounting head in the opposing mounting lane in operation is the model
- an unsafe state due to contact between the operator and the mounting head may occur depending on the situation.
- the mounting head movement limit region in the first work mode is set, so that the mounting head in the operating mounting lane is in the process of switching models. The situation of entering the area of the mounting lane does not occur, and the safety of the operator is ensured.
- the head retracting position data 24 retracts the first mounting head 13A and the second mounting head 13B for the safety of the operator when executing a model switching operation in one mounting lane in the first work mode.
- This data defines the retreat position [P] (see FIGS. 8 to 10 (d)). Details and technical significance of the retracted position [P] will be described in detail in an operation example described later.
- the recognition processing unit 25 performs recognition processing on the imaging results obtained by the board recognition camera 14 and the component recognition camera 15. Thereby, the component mounting point of the board 4 to be mounted is recognized, and the components held by the first mounting head 13A and the second mounting head 13B are recognized.
- the recognition result is transmitted to the mounting control unit 20, and in the component mounting operation on the board 4 by the first mounting head 13A and the second mounting head 13B, the mounting control unit 20 takes the first recognition head into account.
- the head moving mechanism 12A and the second head moving mechanism 12B are controlled.
- the detection result by the tape feeder floating detection sensor 17 is transmitted to the mounting control unit 20.
- the mounting control unit 20 notifies an abnormality in the mounting state of the tape feeder 6.
- the mounting control unit 20 receives a detection signal from the tape feeder floating detection sensor 17 during the model switching operation, the mounting control unit 20 operates the operator by the interlock processing unit 20b according to a preset interlock condition. The operation control process necessary for ensuring safety is performed.
- the model switching work for one mounting lane (here, the first mounting lane L1) is performed on the other side.
- the operator's safety securing measures when executing the production in the side mounting lane (here, the second mounting lane L2) while referring to the respective drawings in accordance with the component mounting work process flow of FIG. explain.
- first, the first movable limit region and the second movable limit region included in the first mounting data 22 and the second mounting data 23 shown in FIG. 3 are set (ST1). That is, as shown in FIG. 4, first movable limit regions R1A and R1B are set in correspondence with the first mounting lane L1 and the second mounting lane L2, respectively, and further, FIGS. As shown, the second movable limit regions R2A and R2B are set corresponding to the first mounting lane L1 and the second mounting lane L2, respectively (ST1).
- the first mounting data 22 and the second mounting data 23 in which the first movable limit regions R1A and R1B and the second movable limit regions R2A and R2B are set are stored in the storage unit 21.
- Mounting data storage step ST2 That is, here, prior to the mounting data storage step, the first movable limit regions R1A and R1B and the second movable limit regions R2A and R2B are added to the first mounting data 22 and the second mounting data 23 as the first. Different areas are set corresponding to the work mode and the second work mode.
- the mounting control unit 20 controls the first mounting lane L1 and the second mounting lane L2 based on the mounting data stored in the storage unit 21.
- mounting control step a component mounting operation for mounting components on the board 4 carried in from the upstream side is executed (ST3).
- a production lot for one board type is targeted. Is completed, model switching work is executed for the mounting lane (ST4).
- the function of the safe operation processing unit 20a causes the mounting head of the mounting lane to be model switched to be retracted to a predetermined retraction position set in advance (ST5).
- the first mounting lane L1 is a target for model switching work
- the first mounting head 13A is moved to the retracted position [P] shown in FIG.
- the position is fixed by the brake function provided by (mounting head retracting step).
- the second mounting lane L2 is a target for model switching work
- the second mounting head 13B is retracted to the retract position [P] similarly set on the first mounting lane L1 side.
- the fact that the first mounting head 13A and the second mounting head 13B are located at the retracted position [P] is detected by a linear encoder function (not shown) built in the Y-axis movement table 10, The detection result is transmitted to the mounting control unit 20. That is, the linear encoder function built in the Y-axis movement table 10 functions as a position detection unit that detects that the first mounting head 13A and the second mounting head 13B are stopped at the retracted position [P]. . Then, the mounting control unit 20 only confirms that the first mounting head 13A and the second mounting head 13B are located at the retracted position [P] by this position detecting means, and the mounting lane on the opposite side. Interlock conditions are set so as to start the component mounting work in.
- the carriage 7 on which the tape feeder 6 is arranged is pulled out from the first component supply unit 5A of the target first mounting lane L1, and then the next board. Feeder exchange work for exchanging with the tape feeder 6 corresponding to the seed is executed.
- the opening 19 is in an open state.
- the operator can enter foreign objects such as fingers 26 and work tools through the opening 19 into the operation area of the movable mechanism constituting the component mounting mechanism. In this state, an accident due to a movable mechanism such as a mounting head coming into contact with the finger 26 that the operator inadvertently enters from the opening 19 is predicted. Step safety measures are taken to ensure the safety of operators.
- the first is a safety ensuring effect by the movement of the second mounting head 13B being restricted by the first movable limit region set in the first mounting data 22.
- the second mounting head 13B does not move beyond the first movable limit region R1B to the first mounting lane L1 side in the control program. Since the movement limit is provided, there is a situation in which an operator who works on the first component supply unit 5A of the first mounting lane L1 becomes unsafe due to the operation of the second mounting head 13B. Does not occur.
- the detection function of the tape feeder floating detection sensor 17 is turned on even when the cart 7 is separated and removed from the first component supply unit 5A.
- a foreign object such as a finger 26 or a work tool that is a part of the operator's body is entered from below through the opening 19 for some reason, It is detected when the detection optical axis 17a of the tape feeder floating detection sensor 17 is shielded (ST6).
- the interlock processing unit 20b not only detects the first mounting head 13A that is already stopped during the model switching operation, but also the opposite side during the production operation.
- the work operation of the second mounting head 13B by the component mounting mechanism in the second mounting lane L2 is stopped (ST7). Thereby, even if the second mounting head 13B malfunctions due to control abnormality, the second mounting head 13B does not move toward the first component supply unit 5A.
- the safety of the operator is ensured even when the safety ensuring measure by the movable limit region set in the control program does not function normally for some reason.
- the first mounting lane described above when executing the model switching operation accompanying the change of the board type to be mounted in either the first mounting lane L1 or the second mounting lane L2, the first mounting lane described above is performed.
- the retract position [P] for retracting the head 13A and the second mounting head 13B is set to a position that satisfies the conditions described below. That is, the retracted position [P] is determined by the operator through the opening 19 provided in the protective cover 18a that separates the mounting head of the component mounting mechanism belonging to the mounting lane from the component supply unit and the movable range of the component mounting mechanism.
- the retreat position [P] is set so that the first mounting head 13A is positioned above the component recognition camera 15.
- the first X-axis movement table 11A is positioned above the opening 19 and a finger 26 or the like enters from the opening 19
- the first X-axis movement table 11A or the first mounting head 13A prevents entry to the first substrate transport mechanism 2A and the second substrate transport mechanism 2B such as the finger 26.
- the retracted position [P] is a component belonging to the mounting lane on which the mounting head is positioned on the substrate transport mechanism side of the opening 19 for the mounting head to access the component supply unit and pick up the component. Even when the mounting head of the mounting mechanism runs away due to a control error and collides with the mounting head of the mounting lane, a part of the body such as the finger 26 that has entered the opening 19 or a foreign object moves due to the collision.
- the position is set at a position that can secure a movement allowance not to be sandwiched between the mounting head and the end of the opening 19.
- FIG. 9 shows that in the first mounting lane L1 during the model switching work, the first mounting head 13A waiting at the retracted position [P] runs away from the second mounting lane L2 side due to a control abnormality (arrow b). ) Shows a state in which the second mounting head 13B has collided.
- the movement of the first X-axis movement table 11A and the second X-axis movement table 11B A proximity part 28a and a detection part 28b constituting the interference sensor 28 are mounted on the plates 27A and 27B, respectively.
- an interference signal is output from the interference sensor 28. Both the first X-axis moving table 11A and the second X-axis moving table 11B are stopped.
- the retracted position [P] of the first X-axis moving table 11A is set to an appropriate position.
- FIG. 10A shows a state in which the first mounting head 13A is retracted to the retract position [P] set near the upper part of the component recognition camera 15 in the mounting lane on the model switching side.
- the retracted position [P] is set at a position separated by a distance A from the end of the opening 19 having the opening width C1.
- the second mounting head 13B moves from the second mounting lane L2 side (arrow c), and as shown in FIG. 1 of the mounting head 13A (arrow d). Due to this collision, the stopped first mounting head 13A moves in the same direction as the moving direction of the second mounting head 13B from the retracted position [P] (arrow e). As a result, the first mounting head 13A moves by the movement allowance B from the retracted position [P].
- the movement allowance B is defined by the braking force of the brake mechanism that fixes the first mounting head 13A to the retracted position [P], the collision speed of the second mounting head 13B at the time of collision, and the like. As a result of this collision, the first mounting head 13A moves to a position that protrudes above the opening 19 as shown in FIG.
- the opening width C1 is known as a fixed value, and the movement allowance B can also be obtained by trial based on operating conditions such as the head moving speed of the mounting head on the collision side and the brake strength of the mounting head in the stopped state. . Therefore, by appropriately setting the distance A, even when the operator's finger 26 enters the opening 19, the finger 26 is placed between the first mounting head 13A and the end surface of the protective cover 18a. A sufficiently large residual gap C2 can be secured so that an unsafe state of being caught does not occur.
- the above-mentioned position detecting means detects that the mounting lane is located at the above-mentioned retreat position [P], and this position detection is performed normally.
- the component mounting operation in the mounting lane on the opposite side is started.
- the model switching operation and the component mounting operation in the opposite mounting lane are not performed in a state where the mounting head is not positioned at the regular retreat position [P], and the safety ensuring measures are reliably ensured.
- the safety of the operator in the model switching work while the apparatus is operating in the first work mode is ensured by a plurality of safety ensuring measures. That is, as a first-stage safety ensuring measure, an area in which the horizontal movement of the mounting head is allowed in the first mounting lane L1 and the second mounting lane L2 is a movable limit area set in the control program. To prevent the mounting head of the mounting lane on the opposite side from entering the mounting lane on the model switching side.
- a second-stage safety ensuring measure an operator enters a part of the body such as a finger 26 or a foreign object from the opening 19 provided in the first component supply unit 5A and the second component supply unit 5B. In this case, these entering objects are detected by the tape feeder floating detection sensor 17, and the operation of the mounting head in the mounting lane on the opposite side is stopped based on the detection result. Further, assuming that the above-described first-stage and second-stage safety ensuring measures do not operate normally for some reason, as a third-stage safety ensuring measure, the retraction position [ P] is set to a position where the safety of the operator is still ensured even when the mounting head in the mounting lane on the opposite side runs away and collides with the mounting head in the retracted position.
- the model switching operation is performed in the mounting lane on one side, and the other side
- Work form is realized. That is, in the component mounting apparatus having a plurality of mounting lanes, the model switching work accompanying the change of the board type can be performed without stopping the operation of the mounting lane on one side and without sacrificing the safety of the operator. .
- the component mounting apparatus and the component mounting method according to the present invention are the component mounting apparatus having a plurality of mounting lanes, and the operator can perform the model switching work accompanying the change of the board type without stopping the operation of the mounting lane on one side. This is effective in the field of manufacturing a mounting board by mounting components on a wiring board.
