- the reflecting wall portion 10 includes the first indicator portion region N of the display panel 6 existing in the region close to the light source 7b, that is, the “region of 3 to 5” and its A conical first reflecting wall portion 10a that mainly illuminates the “scaled area” indicating a number, and is provided continuously with the first reflecting wall portion 10a and is farther from the first index portion area N A curved surface or a flat inclined surface that mainly illuminates the second index portion area F, which is the second index portion area F, which is “numbered areas from 0 to 2, 6 to 8,” and “scaled area” indicating the numbers. And the second reflecting wall portion 10b.
- the meter housing 8 reflects and guides the light from the light source 7b through the reflecting wall portion 10 including the first reflecting wall portion 10a and the second reflecting wall portion 10b. Further, a reflection surface portion 9 that reflects and guides light toward the indicator portion 5 side of the display panel 6 is formed integrally and continuously from the bottom wall portion 81 of the instrument housing 8.
- an index portion 5 such as a scale or number provided in the first index portion region N with the rotation center of the pointer 4 of the drive body 3 as a base point is provided.
- a first arc-shaped opposite surface portion 9a for transmitting illumination is formed, and the indicator portion 5 such as a scale or number provided in the second indicator portion region F is transmitted and illuminated with the position of the light source 7b as a base point.
- a second arcuate surface 9b is formed, and a second arcuate reflecting surface 9b is provided so as to be continuous with the first arcuate surface 9a.
- the reflection wall portion 10 in this modification is formed of the first reflection wall portion 10a and the second reflection wall portion 10b in the same manner as the display panel 6 of the engine tachometer described above.
- the reflection wall portion 10a is located immediately above the light source 7b, and is formed by a semicircular inverted conical inclined surface.
- the light beam emitted from the light source 7b is reflected and guided radially in a semicircular shape from the position of the light source 7b via the inclined surface having a semicircular inverted conical shape, and is provided in the first indicator region N described above.
- the indicator portion 5 of the display panel 6 is configured to be transmitted and illuminated through the reflective surface portion 9.
- a wall-like second reflecting wall portion 10b having a curved surface or an inclined surface having a flat surface shape is provided in a substantially V-shaped cross section continuously from the semicircular end of the first reflecting wall portion 10a.
- An end portion of the V-shaped wall-shaped reflecting surface is provided so as to be connected to the cylindrical portion 82.
- the first reflecting wall portion 10a is disposed on the distal end side of the reflecting wall portion 10 and the second reflecting wall portion 10b is disposed on the center side of the pointer 4, and the V-shaped ridge line of the second reflecting wall portion 10b.
- the portion is provided so as to coincide with the apex made of the conical shape of the first reflecting wall portion 10a.
- the light beam emitted from the light source 7b is guided to the distant index part region F through the second reflecting wall part 10b made of the V-shaped wall-like reflecting surface, and the light beam 10a of the first reflecting wall part 10a. It is configured such that the five indicator portions of the display panel 6 are transmitted and illuminated through the reflective surface portions 9 provided in the above-described second indicator portion region F located on both sides.
- the light from the light source 7b is first reflected to the indicator portion 5 existing in the first indicator portion region N close to the light source 7b.
- the indicator portion provided in the first indicator portion region N by reflecting and guiding the reflected light reflected and guided through the wall portion 10a by the first arcuate reflecting surface portion 9a based on the rotation center of the pointer 4 5 is transmitted and illuminated, and the light from the light source 7b is reflected by the second arc-shaped reflecting surface portion 9b to the indicator portion 5 provided in the second indicator portion region F existing far from the light source 7b.
- the indicator portion 5 provided in the second indicator portion region F after being guided is transmitted and illuminated.
- the second arc-shaped reflecting surface portion 9b is formed in the arc shape with the light source 7b as a base point so that the distance between the light source 7b and the second reflecting surface portion b is not increased and the distance is equal. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the reflected and guided luminance from being lowered, and thereby the illumination luminance of the indicator portion 5 on the entire display panel 6 is substantially uniform while suppressing the number of light sources 7b. Transmitted illumination.
- the reflection wall portion 10 in which the light from the light source 7b is disposed directly above is the indicator portion of the display panel 6 that exists in the first indicator portion region N close to the light source 7b.
- the first reflecting wall portion 10a having a conical shape that mainly illuminates 5 and the first reflecting wall portion 10a are provided continuously to the second index portion area F far from the first index portion area N.
- the light reflected and guided by the reflecting wall portions 10a and 10b is reflected by comprising the second reflecting wall portion 10b composed of a curved surface or a flat inclined surface that mainly illuminates the existing indicator portion 5.
- a relatively wide area can be illuminated and displayed uniformly by reflecting through the surface portion 9 and illuminating the indicator portion 5 of the display panel 6, thereby reducing the number of light sources 7 b compared to the conventional case. It becomes possible to reduce.
- the indicator portion 5 existing in the first indicator portion region N close to the light source 7b reflected light obtained by reflecting and guiding the light from the light source 7b through the first reflecting wall portion 10a,
- the indicator portion 5 provided in the first indicator portion region N by being reflected and guided by the reflecting surface portion 9 is transmitted and illuminated, and the indicator portion provided in the second indicator portion region F existing far from the light source 7b.
- the reflected light obtained by reflecting and guiding the light from the light source 7b through the second reflecting wall portion 10b is reflected and guided by the reflecting surface portion 9 and provided in the second indicator portion region F.
- the indicator portion 5 is transmitted and illuminated, whereby the illumination brightness of the indicator portion 5 on the entire display panel 6 can be transmitted and transmitted almost uniformly.
- the light source 7b is housed in a space defined by the display panel 6 in addition to the reflection wall portion 10, the reflection surface portion 9, and the bottom wall portion 82, whereby the illumination light from the light source 7b is efficiently displayed on the display portion. 5 and can be formed as an illumination chamber for transmitting illumination.
- the height of the side wall 80 and the dimension between the bottom wall 81 and the display panel 6 are set. It is also possible to reduce the thickness of the entire indicating instrument.
- the present invention is not limited to an indicator instrument for a vehicle. It can also be applied to instrument lighting devices for special vehicles such as industrial machines and construction machines.
