- FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the mounting structure shown in FIG. 1.
- FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the mounting structure shown in FIG. 1 taken along the line III-III.
- FIG. 5 is a VV cross-sectional view of the exterior housing shown in FIG.
- FIG. 1 is a plan view showing an embodiment of a mounting structure of a protection panel with a touch input function according to the present invention.
- FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the mounting structure shown in FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the mounting structure shown in FIG. 1 taken along the line III-III.
- the protective panel 1 with a touch input function of the electronic device display window shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 mainly includes a protective panel body made of a resin plate.
- the configuration other than the protection panel body which is the lowermost layer of the protection panel 1 will be described later, and only the protection panel body will be described here.
- the protective panel body is usually a resin plate having a substantially rectangular shape and a thickness of about 0.5 mm to 1.0 mm.
- the material of the protective panel body is, for example, engineering plastic such as polycarbonate, polyamide, or polyether ketone, acrylic , Polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, and the like can be used.
- a plurality of nuts 33 are respectively press-fitted and attached to the back surface peripheral edge portion of the protective panel body.
- the nut 33 is for indirectly providing a female screw to a material that is difficult to cut directly.
- the protection panel body of the protection panel 1 with a touch input function is a thin plate made of resin, and the thickness may be about 0.5 mm. In the case of such a thin plate, it is difficult to cut a female screw by a necessary length. Therefore, a nut 33 which is a separate body from the protective panel main body is attached to the peripheral edge of the back surface of the protective panel main body, and the female screw having a necessary length is attached. To get. Moreover, sufficient internal thread strength can be ensured compared with the case where a female screw is directly cut into the protective panel body made of resin.
- the nut 33 is attached, for example, by providing a nut mounting hole 1a corresponding to the nut 33 on the peripheral edge of the back surface of the protective panel body, and press-fitting the nut 33 into the nut mounting hole 1a.
- (A) and (b) of FIG. 10 are steps of sequentially pressing the nuts 33 into the plurality of nut mounting holes 1a provided on the peripheral edge of the back surface of the protection panel body of the protection panel 1 with a touch input function. It is a figure which shows an Example, and is drawn so that the back surface of the protection panel main body which is the lowest layer of the protection panel 1 may face upward.
- the nut 33 may be attached to the protection panel 1 by threading the outer periphery of the nut 33 and screwing it into the plurality of nut mounting holes 1a.

- the screw is formed in the outer periphery of the nut 33, the screw is not formed in the nut attachment hole 1a.
- the outer diameter of the nut 33 is formed smaller than the inner diameter of the nut mounting hole 1a, and the nut 33 is rubbed into the nut mounting hole 1a and screwed.
- the nut 33 may be attached to the protective panel 1 by adhering the nut 33 to the nut attachment hole 1a using various adhesives or the like.
- the nut mounting hole 1a may penetrate the protective panel body, but never reach the outer surface of the protective panel 1. This is because the outer surface of the protective panel 1 forms the same plane as its surroundings to form a part of the housing, and thus the exposed nut mounting hole 1a is significantly detrimental to the appearance. Further, it is preferable that the nut mounting hole 1a does not penetrate the protective panel body which is the lowermost layer of the protective panel 1. This is because when the nut mounting hole 1a penetrates the protective panel main body, a wiring space for providing a touch input function on the front surface of the protective panel main body is reduced.
- the distance between the edge of the nut mounting hole 1a and the outer shape of the protection panel body may be 0.5 mm or more. If this distance is less than 0.5 mm, sufficient peel strength cannot be obtained for the nut 33 after mounting.
- the nut 33 forms a cylindrical body portion 33b having a female thread 33a on the inner peripheral portion as a basic structure, and near one end of the outer peripheral surface, that is, a base material (in the present invention, a resin that is a protective panel body). In general, a portion embedded in the thin plate is provided with a locking convex portion 33d or a concave portion.

- the press-fit nut 33 is integrally formed with a flange 33c that determines the amount to be embedded in the protective panel body on the other end side from the convex portion 33d on the outer peripheral surface thereof.
- the flange 33c only has to protrude from the buried body portion 33b by about 1 to 2 mm.
- a female screw 33a is provided inside the cylindrical body portion 33b, and a male screw can be engaged with the female screw 33a to fix another component.
- the peak of the convex part 33d is formed with two, you may form with one [refer (b) of FIG. 7] or three or more.
- the flange 33 c is formed only on the portion of the outer peripheral surface of the press-fit nut 33 adjacent to the convex portion 33 d, but the flange 33 c may be formed by extending to the other end of the outer peripheral surface [ See FIG. 7A].
- the contour shape of the flange 33c may be a polygon that is cut almost uniformly other than the circle as shown in FIG. 6 (see FIG. 8A). Further, the flange 33c may have a shape in which a part of a circle is cut to have a straight portion, for example, a shape having a pair of parallel straight portions by cutting [see FIG. 8B].
- a recess 1b corresponding to the flange 33c is formed in advance on the protective panel body side made of a resin plate as shown in FIG. If the flange 33c is housed in the recess 1b, the flange 33c does not rotate when the male screw 34 is screwed in, and can be fixed more reliably.
