Abstract
PURPOSE:To enlarge the usable range of a light source without any limit of wavelength by laminating a conductive layer converting light into heat on a superconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The irradiation of the conductive layer 102 with light 103 converts the light 103 into heat and raises the temperature of the irradiated part 104 of the layer 102. This heat is conducted to the superconductive layer 101 to partially raise its temperature, and when the temperature exceeds the critical temperature, the superconductivity there is converted into the normal conductivity and resistivity rises. The parts not irradiated remain super conductive, and the resistivity remains zero. When the photosensitive body composed of these layers 101 and 102 in this state is charged with a corona charger 106, charge is accumulated in the parts irradiated with the light and no charge remains in the other parts. This photosensitive body converts light of any wavelengths into heat, and changes resistivity, thus permitting the photo sensitive body to act, independent of the wavelength of the light to be used, consequently, to have sensitivity to electromagnetic waves of whatever wavelengths, and to be used not only for copying machines and printers, but also various kinds of detectors.
