Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent unevenness in electric charging by forming an interlayer on a selenium type photosensitive layer having a surface smoothness Ra of <=0.08mum. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by successively laminating on a supporting body 1 the selenium type photosensitive layer 2 having a surface smoothness Ra of <=0.08mum, the interlayer 3, and a transparent protective layer 4 obtained by dispersing a conductive powder into a resin, thus permitting poor blocking to be prevented even in the case of forming the thin interlayer, accordingly, uneven charging on the transparent protective layer 4 not to occur, and consequently, image defects due to uneven charging also not to be caused.
