- 【特許請求の範囲】 (1) 先端部と基端部とを有する供給カテーテルと、 該供給カテーテルの基端部に取り付けられるハンドルと、 少なくとも部分的に前記供給カテーテル内に位置し、複数の後退可能な電極 を有する電極展開装置とを備え、 それぞれの電極が、前記供給カテーテル内に位置しているとき非展開状態を とり、前記供給カテーテルの先端部から前進させられたとき膨張、拡大あるいは 拡張された展開状態をとり、展開電極の間にアブレーション容積を画定し、それ ぞれの展開電極が前記供給カテーテルを介して前進させられて所望の組織部位に 位置決めされたとき少なくとも2つの曲率半径を有することを特徴とする組織ア ブレーション装置。 (2) 請求項(1)において、それぞれの電極が展開状態で、1つの平面において少 なくとも2つの曲率半径を有することを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (3) 請求項(1)において、それぞれの電極が展開状態で、2つ以上の平面におい て少なくとも2つの曲率半径を有することを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置 。 (4) 請求項(1)において、少なくとも1つの電極が、膨張、拡大あるいは拡張さ れた展開状態において、一つの平面において少なくとも2つの曲率半径を有し少 なくとも1つの電極が前記展開状態において2つ以上の平面において少なくとも 2つの曲率半径を有することを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (5) 請求項(1)において、さらに、組織の中の選択された塊の外延を包摂する関 係で電極の展開を案内する、供給カテーテルの先端部に配置された電極テンプレ ートを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (6) 請求項(1)において、電極が中空で、液体分配ポートを備えていることを特 徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (7) 請求項(1)において、さらに、それぞれの電極に隣接し、これを包摂する関 係で配置された調整可能電極絶縁体を備えており、それぞれの調整可能電極絶縁 体が電極導電性表面を画定するにように電極に沿って前進及び後退できるように なっていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (8) 請求項(1)において、さらに、供給カテーテルの先端部から電極を出没させ るための、前記電極展開装置と協働する電極前進及び後退部材を備えていること を特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (9) 請求項(1)において、さらに、供給カテーテルに配置される1つ以上のガイ ドチューブを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (10)請求項(6)において、さらに、それぞれの電極に接続された注入媒体源を備 えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (11)請求項(6)において、さらに、それぞれの電極に接続された化学治療剤源を 備えたことを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (12)請求項(1)において、それぞれの電極が鋭利な先端部を備えていることを特 徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (13)請求項(1)において、前記電極展開装置が供給カテーテルから取り外し可能 であることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (14)請求項(13)において、さらに、供給カテーテル内に配置された着脱自在のオ ブチュレータを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (15)請求項(14)において、該オブチュレータが鋭利な先端部を備えていることを 特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (16)請求項(13)において、供給カテーテルがハンドルから取り外し可能であるこ とを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (17)請求項(14)において、オブチュレータは供給カテーテル内に配置されており 該供給カテーテルを体内の部位に導入することを特徴とする組織アブレーション 装置。 (18)請求項(14)において、前記オブチュレータは供給カテーテルが体内の部位に 位置決めされた後、供給カテーテルから除去され、電極展開装置がつぎに供給カ テーテル内に配置されることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (19)先端部と基端部とを有する供給カテーテルと、 該供給カテーテルの基端部に取り付けられるハンドルと、 少なくとも部分的に前記供給カテーテル内に位置し、複数の後退可能な電極 を有する電極展開装置とを備え、 それぞれの電極が、前記供給カテーテル内に位置しているとき非展開状態を とり、前記供給カテーテルの先端部から前進させられたとき膨張、拡大あるいは 拡張された展開状態をとり、展開電極の間にアブレーション容積を画定し、それ ぞれの展開電極が前記供給カテーテルを介して前進させられて所望の組織部位に 位置決めされたとき2つ以上の平面において少なくとも1つの曲率半径を有する ことを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (20)請求項(19)において、さらに、組織の中の選択された塊の外延を包摂する関 係で電極の展開を案内する、供給カテーテルの先端部に配置された電極テンプレ ートを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (21)請求項(19)において、さらに、それぞれの電極に隣接し、これを包摂する関 係で配置された調整可能電極絶縁体を備えており、それぞれの調整可能電極絶縁 体が電極導電性表面を画定するにように電極に沿って前進及び後退できるように なっていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (22)請求項(19)において、さらに、供給カテーテルの先端部から電極を出没させ るための、前記電極展開装置と協働する電極前進及び後退部材を備えていること を特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (23)請求項(19)において、さらに、供給カテーテルに配置される1つ以上のガイ ドチューブを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (24)先端部と基端部とを有する供給カテーテルと、 該供給カテーテルの基端部に取り付けられるハンドルと、 少なくとも部分的に前記供給カテーテル内に位置し、複数の後退可能な電極 を有する電極展開装置とを備え、 それぞれの電極が、前記供給カテーテル内に位置しているとき非展開状態を とり、前記供給カテーテルの先端部から前進させられたとき膨張、拡大あるいは 拡張された展開状態をとり、展開電極の間にアブレーション容積を画定し、少な くとも1つの展開電極が少なくとも2つの曲率半径を有し、少なくとも1つの展 開電極が2つ以上の平面において少なくとも1つの曲率半径を有することを特徴 とする組織アブレーション装置。 (25)請求項(24)において、さらに、組織の中の選択された塊の外延を包摂する関 係で電極の展開を案内する、供給カテーテルの先端部に配置された電極テンプレ ートを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (26)請求項(24)において、さらに、それぞれの電極に隣接し、これを包摂する関 係で配置された調整可能電極絶縁体を備えており、それぞれの調整可能電極絶縁 体が電極導電性表面を画定するにように電極に沿って前進及び後退できるように なっていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (27)請求項(24)において、さらに、供給カテーテルの先端部から電極を出没させ るための、前記電極展開装置と協働する電極前進及び後退部材を備えていること を特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (28)請求項(24)において、さらに、供給カテーテルに配置される1つ以上のガイ ドチューブを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (29)先端部と基端部とを有する供給カテーテルと、 該供給カテーテルの基端部に取り付けられるハンドルと、 少なくとも部分的に前記供給カテーテル内に位置し、複数の後退可能な電極 を有する電極展開装置とを備え、 それぞれの電極が、前記供給カテーテル内に位置しているとき非展開状態を とり、前記供給カテーテルの先端部から前進させられたとき膨張、拡大あるいは 拡張された展開状態をとり、展開電極の間にアブレーション容積を画定し、少な くとも1つの展開電極が供給カテーテルの先端部近傍に位置する少なくとも1つ の湾曲セクションと、該展開電極の湾曲セクションを超えて延びる非湾曲セクシ ョンとを有し、少なくとも1つの展開電極が少なくとも2つの曲率半径を有する ことを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (30)請求項(29)において、さらに、組織の中の選択された塊の外延を包摂する関 係で電極の展開を案内する、供給カテーテルの先端部に配置された電極テンプレ ートを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (31)請求項(29)において、さらに、それぞれの電極に隣接し、これを包摂する関 係で配置された調整可能電極絶縁体を備えており、それぞれの調整可能電極絶縁 体が電極導電性表面を画定するにように電極に沿って前進及び後退できるように なっていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (32)請求項(29)において、さらに、供給カテーテルの先端部から電極を出没させ るための、前記電極展開装置と協働する電極前進及び後退部材を備えていること を特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (33)請求項(29)において、さらに、供給カテーテルに配置される1つ以上のガイ ドチューブを備えていることを特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。 (34)先端部と基端部とを有する供給カテーテルと、 該供給カテーテルの基端部に取り付けられるハンドルと、 少なくとも部分的に前記供給カテーテル内に位置し、複数の後退可能な電極 を有する電極展開装置とを備え、 それぞれの電極が、前記供給カテーテル内に位置しているとき非展開状態を とり、前記供給カテーテルの先端部から前進させられたとき膨張、拡大あるいは 拡張された展開状態をとり、展開電極の間にアブレーション容積を画定し、それ ぞれの展開電極が供給カテーテルの先端部近傍に位置し、第1の曲率半径を有す る第一セクションと、前記第一セクションを超えて延び、第二の曲率半径または 略直線状の幾何形状を有する第二セクションとを有していることを特徴とする組 織アブレーション装置。 (35)請求項(34)において、それぞれの電極は、前記第二セクションを超えて延び る第三セクションを有しており、該第三セクションは、前記第二セクションに対 して側部位置にあり、湾曲した、またはほぼ直線状の幾何形状を有していること を特徴とする組織アブレーション装置。
