(例示化合物341の合成)
(1)中間体化合物IM1の合成
2−ブロモ−7−ヨード−9,9−ジメチル−9H−フルオレン:3.00g(7.52mmol)
トルエン:60mL
エタノール:30mL
中間体化合物IM1:1.66g(4.08mmol)
(1,3−ビス[ジフェニルホスフィノ]プロパン)ジクロロニッケル(II):0.44g(0.82mmol)
4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−1,3,2−ジオキサボロラン:1.78mL(12.3mmol)
1,4−ジブロモ−2,5ジメチルベンゼン:4.00g(15.2mmol)
トルエン:100mL
エタノール:50mL
エタノール:15mL
中間体化合物IM2:0.60g(1.33mmol)
中間体化合物IM3:0.53g(1.46mmol)
例示化合物341について下記に示す計算ソフト及び計算条件で分子軌道計算を行った。
AM1計算プログラム:MOPAC2002 Version 1.52
AM1計算条件:EF AM1 PRECISE LET GNORM=0.01
MOS−F計算プログラム:MOS−F version 6.0A
MOS−F計算条件:INDO/S CI[10 10] Singlet NStates=10
示差走査熱量計(DSC)により、例示化合物No.341のガラス転位温度を測定したところ136℃であった。このため、比較的高いガラス転位温度を示した。
実施例1において、4−tert−ブチルフェニルボロン酸の代わりに4−メチルフェニルボロン酸を用いる以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で例示化合物345を合成することができる。
実施例1において、1,4−ジブロモ−2,5−ジメチルベンゼンの代わりに1−ブロモ−4−ヨード−2−メチルベンゼンを用いる以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で例示化合物304を合成することができる。
実施例1において、4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−2−(フェナントレン−9−イル)−1,3,2−ジオキサボロランの代わりに2−ナフタレンボロン酸を用いる以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で例示化合物108を合成することができる。
1−ブロモ−4−ヨード−2−メチルベンゼンと1−ナフタレンボロン酸を原料として、実施例1の(3)と同様の方法及び反応条件で合成を行うことで、1−(4−ブロモ−5−メチルフェニル)ナフタレンが得られる。次いで、実施例1の(4)において、IM3の代わりに1−(4−ブロモ−5−メチルフェニル)ナフタレン用いる以外は、実施例1の(4)と同様の方法で例示化合物110を合成することができる。
実施例1において、4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−2−(フェナントレン−9−イル)−1,3,2−ジオキサボロランの代わりに9−アントラセンボロン酸を用いる以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で例示化合物502を合成することができる。
(1)中間体化合物IM4の合成
1−ブロモ−4−ヨード−2−メチルベンゼンとIM2を原料として、実施例1の(4)と同様の方法及び反応条件で合成を行う。これにより、中間体化合物IM4(2−(4―ブロモ―3−メチルフェニル)−7−(4−tert−ブチルフェニル)−9,9―ジメチル―9H−フルオレン)を得ることができる。
中間体化合物IM4と4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−1,3,2−ジオキサボロランを原料として、実施例1の(2)と同様の方法及び反応条件で合成を行う。これにより、中間体化合物IM5(2−(4−(7−(4−tert−ブチルフェニル)−9,9−ジメチル−9H−フルオレン−2−イル)−2−メチルフェニル)−4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−1,3,2−ジオキサボロラン)を得ることができる。
実施例1の(4)例示化合物341の合成において、中間体化合物IM2の代わりに中間体化合物IM5を、中間体化合物IM3の代わりに9−ブロモフェナントレンを用いる以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で例示化合物333を合成することができる。
上記の例示化合物333の合成において、9−ブロモフェナントレンの代わりに2−クロロキノリンを用いる以外は、例示化合物333の合成と同様の方法で例示化合物414を合成することができる。
(1)中間体化合物IM6の合成
1−ブロモ−4−ヨード−2−メチルベンゼンと4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−1,3,2−ジオキサボロランを原料として、実施例1の(2)と同様の方法及び反応条件で合成を行う。これにより、中間体化合物IM6(2,2’−(2―メチル−1,4−フェニレン)ビス(4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−1,3,2−ジオキサボロラン))を得ることができる。
2−クロロキノリンとIM6を原料として、実施例1の(4)と同様の方法及び反応条件で合成を行う。これにより、中間体化合物IM7(2−(3−メチル−4−(4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−1,3,2−ジオキサボロラン−2−イル)キノリン)を合成することができる。
実施例1の(4)例示化合物341の合成において、中間体化合物IM2の代わりに中間体化合物IM7を、中間体化合物IM3の代わりに中間体化合物IM1を用いる以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で例示化合物412を合成することができる。
上記の例示化合物412の合成において、(2)中間体化合物IM7の合成のときに2−クロロキノリンの代わりに、3−ブロモフェナントレンを用いる以外は、例示化合物412の合成と同様の方法で例示化合物202を合成することができる。
下記に示す比較化合物Aを合成した。原料として、2−(9,9’−ジメチル−9H−フルオレン−2−イル)−4,4,5,5−テトラメチル−1,3,2−ジオキサボロラン及び9−ブロモフェナントレンを使用した。合成方法は、実施例1と同様のパラジウム触媒を用いたSuzukiカップリング反応を使用した。
図3に示す構造の有機発光素子を以下に示す方法で作製した。
例示化合物341に代えて、下記に示す構造のCBPを用いた他は実施例13と同様に素子を作製した。

Claims (9)
- 下記一般式[II]で示されることを特徴とする、非対称型フルオレン化合物。
- 陽極と陰極と、
該陽極と該陰極との間に挟持された有機化合物を含む層とからなり、
該陽極及び該陰極のいずれかが透明又は半透明であり、
該有機化合物を含む層が、請求項1に記載の非対称型フルオレン化合物を少なくとも一種含有することを特徴とする、有機発光素子。 - 前記非対称型フルオレン化合物が発光層に含有されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記発光層が、ホストとゲストとから構成され、該ホストが前記非対称型フルオレン化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記ゲストが、燐光発光性化合物であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記燐光発光性化合物が金属錯体であることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記金属錯体がイリジウム錯体であることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記発光層が複数の燐光発光性化合物を含有することを特徴とする、請求項3乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の有機発光素子。
- 前記陽極と前記陰極との間に電圧を印加することにより発光する電界発光素子であることを特徴とする、請求項2乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の有機発光素子。
