Description
本発明の第1の実施の形態について図1乃至図5を参照して説明する。
本発明の第2の実施の形態について図6及び図7を参照して説明する。本発明の第2の実施の形態では、第1の実施の形態と異なる部分について説明する。なお、第2の実施の形態においては、第1の実施の形態で説明した部分と同一部分を同一符号で付し、その説明を省略する(他の実施の形態も同様である)。
本発明の第3の実施の形態について図8及び図9を参照して説明する。本発明の第3の実施の形態では、第1の実施の形態と異なる部分について説明する。
なお、本発明は、前述の実施の形態に限るものではなく、その要旨を逸脱しない範囲において種々変更可能である。
Claims (6)
- 第1主面上に設けられた発光層と、前記発光層上に設けられ前記第1主面より小さい第1電極と、前記第1主面と異なる第2主面上に設けられた第2電極とを有する光半導体素子と、
前記第1電極が接合される領域であって前記第1主面より小さく且つ少なくとも外縁部において表面が平坦な接合領域と、前記接合領域の周囲で前記外縁部に隣接する外周領域に形成された複数の溝からなり、該溝にはみ出した接合材が毛細管現象により濡れ広がるように前記溝が形成された第1溝部とを有し、前記第1電極が前記接合材により前記接合領域に接合され、前記第1電極に電気的に接続された第1リード部と、
前記第2電極に接続材により電気的に接続された第2リード部と、
を備えることを特徴とする光半導体装置。 - 前記接合領域は前記第1電極の接合面より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1記載の光半導体装置。
- 前記第1リード部は、前記接合領域内に前記第1溝部と離間させて形成された第2溝部を有していることを特徴とする請求項1記載の光半導体装置。
- 第1主面上に設けられた発光層と、前記発光層上に設けられ前記第1主面より小さい第1電極と、前記第1主面と異なる第2主面上に設けられた第2電極とを有する光半導体素子を備える光半導体装置の製造方法であって、
第1リード部の、前記第1主面より小さく且つ少なくとも外縁部において表面が平坦な接合領域の周囲で前記外縁部に隣接する外周領域に、複数の溝からなり、該溝にはみ出した接合材が毛細管現象により濡れ広がるように前記溝が形成される第1溝部を形成する工程と、
前記接合領域に前記接合材により前記第1電極を接合し、前記第1リード部上に前記光半導体素子を設け、前記第1電極に前記第1リード部を電気的に接続する工程と、
前記第1リード部上の前記光半導体素子の前記第2電極に接続材により第2リード部を電気的に接続する工程と、
を有することを特徴とする光半導体装置の製造方法。 - 前記第1溝部を形成する工程では、前記接合領域を前記第1電極の接合面より大きく設けることを特徴とする請求項4記載の光半導体装置の製造方法。
- 前記接合領域内に前記第1溝部と離間させて第2溝部を形成する工程を有することを特徴とする請求項4記載の光半導体装置の製造方法。
