Claims (7)
- 光を供給する光源部と、
前記光源部からの光を画像信号に応じて変調する空間光変調装置と、を有し、
前記空間光変調装置は、前記空間光変調装置に固有の極性反転周波数に応じて極性を反転させた印加電圧を用いて駆動され、
前記光源部は、前記極性反転周波数に基づき、前記空間光変調装置におけるプラス極性とマイナス極性とでの像の明るさの差を打ち消すように基本周波数が設定されたパルス幅変調により変調された光を供給することを特徴とするプロジェクタ。 - 前記基本周波数が前記極性反転周波数の偶数倍であること、及び、
前記極性反転周波数に応じて前記極性を反転させる周期ごとに前記パルス幅変調における位相を逆転させること、
の少なくとも一方を満足することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のプロジェクタ。 - 全画面に対して前記画像信号の書き込みを1回行うごとに、前記パルス幅変調における位相を反転させることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記光源部は、パルス幅変調信号を平滑化させた平滑化信号に応じた光を供給することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 複数の前記光源部を有し、
前記光源部は、前記光源部の出力差に応じて制御されることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のプロジェクタ。 - 前記光源部は、固体光源を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のプロジェクタ。
- 前記空間光変調装置は、液晶表示装置を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のプロジェクタ。
