Abstract
【解決手段】 エンジン210と、エンジン210の回転により発電する発電機270と、発電機270の電力によって駆動し、後輪107を回転させるモータ230と、エンジン210で発生する動力を発電機270及び後輪107に対して分割する動力分配装置250とを備える。エンジン210のクランク軸211は、車両の幅方向に配置され、発電機270、モータ230及び動力分配装置250は、エンジン210のクランク軸211に対して平行な一つの別軸上に配置される。別軸の一端部側から、動力分配装置250、モータ230のロータ231を介して、エンジン210の動力、モータの駆動力が出力される。

Description
発進時および軽負荷走行時では、スクータ型二輪車100は、モータ230の駆動力のみで発進、走行を行う。なお、バッテリ400の充電量が所定値以上であるため、発電機での発電を行う必要がなく、エンジン210は停止させる。
定常走行時では、スクータ型二輪車100は、エンジン210の燃費率がよい運転領域で車両が走行できるように、エンジン210の動力およびモータ230の動力の両方で走行する。具体的には、エンジン210の動力を動力分配装置250によって、後輪107を直接駆動させるための車両駆動力と、発電機270に発電を行わせるための発電駆動力とに適切に分配する。つまり、エンジン210は、車両駆動力と、発電駆動力により発電機270で発電された電力によるモータ230の動力とを出力する。
加速、登坂などの高出力が必要な走行時には、スクータ型二輪車100は、上記<定常走行時>の動作に加えて、エンジン210の回転数を上げると同時に、発電した電力の他にバッテリ400に蓄積されている電力もモータ230に供給する。これらの電力供給を受けたモータ230は、より強い駆動力を出力する。つまり、エンジン210の駆動力に加えて、モータ230の駆動力によってロータ231が回転し、その回転力が後輪駆動伝達ラインに伝達され、後輪107を回転させる。
減速、制動時には、スクータ型二輪車100は、エンジン210のエンジンブレーキを作用させる。即ち、後輪107の車軸110の回転は、駆動力伝達ライン、モータ230のロータ231および動力分配装置250を介してエンジン210に伝達され、エンジン210のピストン215を上下させる。この時、ピストン215の上下動に伴う摩擦及び圧縮抵抗力、所謂、エンジンブレーキが作用する。
スクータ型二輪車100は、まず、バッテリ400(図1参照)に蓄積された電力を発電機270に通電し、発電機270をモータとして機能させ、この回転力によりエンジン210を始動させる。そして、エンジン210駆動後のアイドリング時には、エンジン210は動力分配装置250を介して発電機270を駆動させる。この発電機270の駆動によって発電した電力は、バッテリ400に充電、あるいは、モータ230に供給される。
発進、軽負荷走行時では、スクータ型二輪車100は、エンジン210の動力による発電機270の発電力でバッテリ400の充電を行いながら、モータ230の駆動力で発進、走行を行う。
定常走行時では、スクータ型二輪車100は、バッテリ400の充電量が所定値以下の時も、上記のバッテリ400(図1参照)の充電量が所定値以上の時と基本的に同様の動作を行う。ただし、バッテリ400の充電量が所定の値以上になるまでは、発電機270から得られる電力は、モータ230を駆動させること以外に、バッテリ400の充電にも利用される。
加速、登坂などの高出力が必要な走行時には、上記<定常走行時>の駆動ユニット200の動作に加えて、エンジン210の回転数を上げると同時に、発電した電力の他にバッテリ400に蓄積されている電力もモータ230に供給し、より強い駆動力を出力する。ただし、バッテリ400の充電量が所定の値以上になるまでは、スクータ型二輪車100は、バッテリ400の電力をモータ230に供給しない。スクータ型二輪車100は、バッテリ400の充電量が所定の値以上になるまでは、その時点において発電機270から供給できる最大電力によるモータ230の駆動力と、エンジン210からの車両駆動力とを後輪107に出力する。
減速、制動時には、スクータ型二輪車100では、車軸110の回転が減速ギア部286、スプロケット284を介してモータ230に伝達されることによって、モータ230が回転し、このモータ230を発電機として機能させて回生させる。これにより、車両減速、制動時の運動エネルギーは電気的エネルギーに変換され、バッテリ400に回収される。つまり、モータ230における回生ブレーキの減速・制動作用によって、スクータ型二輪車100は減速・制動する。

Claims (17)
- エンジンと、
エンジンの回転により発電する発電機と、
前記発電機の電力によって駆動し、駆動輪を回転させるモータと、
前記エンジンで発生する動力を前記発電機及び前記駆動輪に対して分割する動力分配装置と、を備え、
前記発電機、モータ及び動力分配装置は、前記エンジンのクランク軸に対して平行な一つの別軸上に配置されることを特徴とするハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記エンジンのクランク軸は、搭載される車両の進行方向と直交する方向で、且つ、水平に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。
- 前記別軸は、前記エンジンのクランク軸よりも車両後方に配置されることを特徴とする請求項2記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。
- 前記別軸に対して平行に、且つ離間して配置される前記駆動輪の車軸と、
前記別軸と直交する方向に沿って配置され、前記別軸の一端部側から前記モータの駆動力及び前記エンジンの動力を取り出して前記車軸に伝達する駆動輪伝達装置とを更に有し、
前記モータは、前記別軸の前記一端部に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記駆動伝達手段は、前記一端部側から取り出される駆動力を減速する減速部を備えることを特徴とする請求項4記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。
- 前記エンジンで発生する動力を前記クランク軸における軸方向の略中央部から取り出して前記動力分配装置に伝達するエンジン動力伝達部を有し、
前記動力分配装置は、前記別軸上に、前記発電機と前記モータとの間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項2記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記別軸は、前記発電機のロータに連結され、
前記動力分配装置は、前記別軸に設けられ、前記別軸とともに前記別軸と同軸心で回転するサンギアと、
サンギアの周囲に配置され、前記サンギアと歯合する遊星ギアと、
前記別軸を中心に回転自在に設けられ、前記遊星ギアを回転自在に支持する遊星キャリアと、
前記遊星ギアの周囲に配置され、前記遊星ギアと歯合するとともに、前記別軸を中心に回転自在に設けられ、その回転力を前記駆動輪側に出力するリングギアとを備え、
前記遊星キャリアは、前記エンジン動力伝達部に接続され、前記別軸を中心に回転する外周部を有し、
前記遊星ギアは、前記エンジン動力伝達部を介して前記外周部から入力される前記エンジンの動力によって前記サンギアの回りを公転することを特徴とする請求項6記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記リングギアは、同一軸心を中心に回転する前記モータのロータに直接結合され、リングギアの回転力を前記モータのロータを介して駆動輪側に出力することを特徴とする請求項7記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。
- 前記エンジン動力伝達部は、前記クランク軸の回転に同期して回転する回転部材と、
前記回転部材の回転力を前記遊星キャリアの外周に伝動する伝動部とを有することを特徴とする請求項7記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記回転部材及び前記遊星キャリアの外周部にはそれぞれ複数のギア歯が形成され、
前記伝動部は、前記回転部材と前記遊星キャリアとの間に介設され、両者の前記ギア歯のそれぞれと歯合する中間ギア部であることを特徴とする請求項9記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記遊星キャリアは、前記別軸が挿通されるとともに前記遊星ギアを支持する板状のキャリア本体部を有し、
前記遊星キャリアの外周部は、前記キャリア本体部の外縁部から前記リングギア側に突出した筒状をなし、前記リングギアの周囲を囲む位置に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項9記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記別軸と前記クランク軸とに対して平行に、且つ、離間して配置され、前記駆動輪を軸支する車軸と、
前記別軸の一端部側に設けられ、前記モータの駆動力及び前記エンジンの動力を取り出して前記車軸に伝達する駆動輪伝達装置とを有し、
前記モータは、前記別軸上において前記一端部側に配置され、
前記エンジン動力伝達部を介して前記エンジンの動力を前記クランク軸から前記動力分配装置に伝達するラインは、前記駆動輪において車幅方向の中心を通る鉛直な平面に対して、前記別軸の他端部側に偏位して配置されていることを特徴とする請求項6記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。 - 前記中間ギア部は、前記回転部材及び前記遊星キャリアのそれぞれとの間のバックラッシュを調節する調節部を備えることを特徴とする請求項10記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。
- 前記中間ギア部は、当該中間ギア部の軸心に対して偏心する位置に配置され、前記エンジンの往復慣性力を相殺する重り部を備えることを特徴とする請求項10記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。
- 前記エンジンは、多気筒エンジンであり、各気筒は、等間隔で爆発することを特徴とする請求項6記載のハイブリッド車両の駆動ユニット。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか記載の駆動ユニットを備えることを特徴とするハイブリッド車両。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか記載の駆動ユニットを備えることを特徴とする二輪車。
