Abstract

A titanium alloy has the following percentage composition by weight: - .Al.2-4 .Zr.3-7 .Sn.4-8 .Si.0.25-0.75 .Ti.the remainder The alloy may also include one or more of Fe, Co, Ni, Cr, Mn, V, Be, B, Nb, Mo, Sb, Ta, W, and Bi up to a total of 3%. Examples of the alloy are solution heated at 1000 DEG C. for 1/2 hour, air cooled and aged at 500 DEG C. for 24 hours.
