Abstract

870,597. Rotary pelleting machines. RYDEN, W. J. April 8, 1960 [March 21, 1959], No. 9876/59. Class 87(2). A pelleting machine of the kind wherein plastic material, poultry food, meal or fertilizers, is fed to the centre of a die 10 and extruded through orifices 11 in its periphery, has arcuate pads 12 mounted on its inner periphery with orifices 26 registering with the orifices 11. The pads 12 are replaceable in the event of wear and the orifices 26 may be smaller than the orifices 11. The pads 12 are secured to the die 10 by radial bolts 14 and protruding keys 18, secured to the die 10, which die may have recesses 22 to secure it to a driving plate (not shown).
