Abstract

760,759. Roller pelleting-presses. BœHLER, GEB. Sept. 8, 1954 [Sept. 11, 1953], No. 26052/54. Class 87(2). A pelleting press comprises a cylindrical perforated roller 2, rotating about a horizontal axis 3, two extruding rollers 5, 6 disposed on fixed axes one in the upper part of the roller and the other in the lower part, and a stationary feed shoot 7 which divides the material into two streams 10, 11 as it is fed into the roller. The pellets issuing from the roller apertures are cut off by knives (not shown) and fall through a passage 16 into a chamber where they may be cooled and bagged.
