1438406 Rotary tablet moulding machines N S TALIS and A I JURSAKOV 16 Nov 1973 53266/73 Heading B5A In a rotary tablet-making machine comprising a horizontal turn-table 9 provided with dies 16 and upper and lower sets of pressing plungers 14, 15, the latter are each provided with an annular groove 17 having frusto-conical sides 18 and so positioned along the plungers that under reciprocation by cams 19, 20, the grooves 17 do not leave the bores 12, 13 housing the plungers. The cams 19, 20 are mounted on rings 23, 24 located within annular recesses in supports 7, 8 housing the plungers. Additional cams 35, 37 are provided for the lower plungers 15. Upper and lower rollers 33, 31 are provided for pressing the powder, e.g. catalytic material.
