Abstract
508,347. Magnetos. BOSCH GES., R. Oct. 1, 1938, No. 28554. Convention date, Oct. 2, 1937. [Class 35] The magnet system of a flywheel magneto comprising ring-segment shapec bar magnets of a materia having a coercive force of more 'than 300 Oorstec circumferentially spaced or the flywheel with soft iror pole shoes between them consists of at least one group of three pole shoes b and two magnets a occupying part only of the circumference, the remaining part of which is taken up by one or more filling pieces c, which may be of iron, extending between the outer pole shoes of the group or groups. A casing d of nonmagnetic material is cast around the system. The armature e together with the interrupter and condenser are mounted on a fixed plate. A magneto is described having two groups of magnets and pole shoes disposed diametrically opposite one another, the end pole shoes being spaced by iron or other filling pieces. In this case the fixed plate carries two armatures with their associated interrupters and condensers.
